WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

Why did Fox have Ego now?
It's why I didn't believe the article when I saw it and figured the writers are wrong/mistaken.

Ego first showed up in Thor.

Plus I don't get how changing a mutant's powers constitutes a swap. If FOX has to ask permission for stuff like that all the time no wonder they've had a bad relationship.

James Gunn Reveals Whether Ego The Living Planet Was Set To Be Star-Lord's Father Before Marvel/Fox Trade

Taking to his Facebook page earlier today, the filmmaker revealed that he actually always wanted Ego.

"When I first pitched Ego as Quill's father, I THOUGHT we owned the character. After I had worked out a very elaborate story with Ego the Living Planet as a very important part of the Marvel cosmic universe, I learned that we actually didn't own the character. I had no back up plan, and it would be nearly impossible to just drop another character in. Thank God Fox came to us and wanted to make a trade."

I don't see what's stopping marvel from putting all their shows on netflix now, including AoS as well as the Inhumans movie they planning.

network tv has limitations, none of the things they pull off in Netflix would pass there

plus with Netflix, they do not have to worry about ratings much

Reed Hastings as CEO of Disney?

I'm surprised people aren't feeling the Inhumans as a TV show. Room for more development. Only thing that sucks isthe abc element

that is exactly the turn off with the Inhumans show, if it was on Netflix then no one would be complaining

hopefully GRs success has changed things for ABC and we actually see Black Bolt, Medusa, Lockjaw, etc...

I just do not want to see more obscure inhumans in the show, I still feel that is where AoS failed

The budget just ain't gonna be there like way it would be on cable or online. Also with network it's under more scrutiny for ratings.

I dunno I was pumped for inhuman movie. I was even onboard with a vin diesel black bolt :lol :{

I was looking forward to a BB and Thanos face off too, doubt that happens if they are relegated to network tv.

Did nobody read the articles?

Its an 8 ep season next year in September with an IMAX budget. Meaning, all 8 episodes are shot with IMAX video cameras. The first 2 eps (which will probably be written as one big story) will be aired back to back in IMAX theaters across the country try for 2 weeks. Then it'll air on ABC.

Apparently, Marvel and IMAX are going all out on producing this. It's on ABC cuz it's Disney, they don't have a cable channel and they don't own Netflix yet not that Netflix would be able to accomodate this sort of scale and approach given the average budget for most of their original programs.

I know ABC has that broadcast tv stigma but clearly if you read the details this isn't like anything any network has attempted.

We'll probably get casting news by the summer.

Personally, I don't want AOS to handle major names. Save them for the big time heroes

I wouldn't count out anybody appearing in Infinity War. Plenty could happen. The show could lead in to them being involved with Infinity War. Also, yeah Marvel has struck hot, some things are still hard to sell.

I'm cool. I dont need to see them dealing with major threats out of their league. Or world ending threats.
