Were You Born Into Wealth Or Poverty?

2nd born with mom & pops fresh off the boat struggling looking to live the American Dream. 35 yrs later they wanna move back to the homeland saying "F" America.

middle middle class

certainly not rich, but not wanting for much either. 2 hard working parents making average salaries (accountant and school teacher).

college was a great experience and eye-opener in that I was exposed to a much broader range of people, from all walks of life and all socio-economic backgrounds. that's about when I realized that I had taken much for granted until then.

Parents were poor left there country immigrated here and against all odds made it

Think my oldest sister is the only one who saw my parents when they were at there lowest. By the time I could walk my parents saved up all there money to get out of south central to a nice community and own their first home. But still growing up I didn't have nice things like half the kids around me. But growing up like that my parents buying me okay thing not super nice things I've learned to appreciated it now that. They were able to put all 3 of there kids through college with out anyone of us having to take out loans.

Give me a lot to be grateful for and learned the value of hard work and saving.

Born poor, grew up middle class, when I was about 14 my parents started making ridiculous cash. I'm closing in on 30 and haven't asked for a dollar since graduating College.

Middle Class.

Norfolk till i was 2 then moved to Newport News.

Pops retired from the navy when i was 4 and started working other jobs to supplement that retirement check and mom worked at a old folks home. i didnt get everything i wanted but i was never hungry.

I would say I'm middle class.

Still have rats and mice in my parents house though. Gotta' move them out of the hood.

Rich but not wealthy. Grew up here in the philippines and fam lived like royalty, got 3 househelpers and a driver. Pops own a company here and we also have a 4br house in riverside ca as a vacation house. Props to my parents for everything i have in life.

Dad was in the military so I did the moving thing when I was younger and my mom didn't work but we were straight. Just like one bedroom apartments but not poverty.

Then they got divorced and my mom paid for a house and raised me and my sister on 8 an hour for a few years. She makes waaaay better money now but for a while money was tight but my grandma helped us out a lot.

Don't talk to my dad anymore but pretty sure he makes good money and always has but he didn't raise us. So that didn't affect how I grew up. He just paid my mom like 300 a month in child support. :lol

Born poor.

Parents split.

Pops got permanent custody.

He went back to school.

Life was tremendously upgraded.

Coasted by in the middle class since.

20 and now getting middle class money myself.

It worked out.

Pops was heavyweight dd so born in money. Pops got busted so mom's was left to raise 2 kids on own. From mansion to 3 bedroom house with grandparents. Mom's lived off of pops stash for a couple of years but eventually got a low paying job.

Working Class

Immigrated parents, we (As in my family and like 6 other of my family members) lived in one house for a few years. Moved into an apartment when I was like 7, then as I got into HS my parents' grind finally afforded them a house of their own. Really just blessed to have two parents for my entire upbringing who sacrificed a lot to get me through.
