setting goals is nice, but you should focus on the system that's gonna get you to achieve these goals.

Not trying to bash anyone but as an older NT'er I can tell you that it's always gonna be process over product.

Clearly define how your gonna reach a long-term objective with smaller short-term objectives.

Example:

Long-term objective #1: I'm gonna go to the gym 4 days a week until June and become more fit and healthy than I am right now.

Short-term objective #1: I'm going to use a planner to find open times in my schedule that I can go to the gym and it won't interfere with any other obligations, this week.

Short-term objective #2: I'm going to do research into how to attain the body-type I want (i.e., types of exercises, creating a workout regimine, nutrition, etc.), this week

Short-term objective #3: I'm going to select a gym that offers me the best bang for my buck and will help me attain my LTO. (i.e., good price, facilities, bonus, cancellation policy, etc.) and start going to the gym, within 1-2 weeks from now.

Short-term objective #4: I'm going to come-up with a make-up plan should I miss some of my gym sessions to keep me on track; keeping me proactive, within 1-2 weeks from now.

Short-term objective #5: I will do research and evaluate if I need a personal trainer, this week.

Short-term ojective #6: I will use a reminder app or alarm to help me remember my gym obligations and keep me focused.
etc.

Well for me the past couple years have been building to this list I made. I don't really do resolutions so these goals were set to be different, now I'm in-tune with myself & it feels good. Hope this makes sense, this was copied/pasted from my document I'm putting on my goal board.

Seems like a lot but I feel it's all doable, I'm ready for the challenge

Goals for 2014:
-Investment: have at least 3 separate stocks I have chosen as a good investment, invest in the branding of myself as a logical & motivational leader, directly invest in my business goals.
-Minimalism: remove all unnecessary/excess clutter & materials around me(pics/contacts/texts/apps/clothes/processes/etc).
-Diversification: branch out into new areas of world, find additional sources of wealth, meet new people.

Achievements for 2014:
-Business Plan: have plan completed in full in a way that can be shared, begin aligning various elements needed for plan(non-profit organization/branded social media/website & app presence), put together introductory event to be used.
-Fitness/health: complete first full marathon or obstacle-based event, don’t routinely work out more than 2x/day under current situation, maintain max body fat of 13.5% @165 lbs ratio, become more in-tune with body efficiency for food vs. workout, improve overall speed & agility while working on endurance, work on personal health for next phase of adult life(minimize injuries & pains).

Aspirations for 2014:
-Residence: move out & live on my own in a place where I control full billing charges.
-Cars: remove Kia from my ownership, sell/trade Lincoln for cheap & gas efficient vehicle.
-Job: find a new position to show my full worth, find a way to go back to school for exercise science or nutrition, or develop opportunity to become self-sufficient without need for job.
-Personal brand: focus less on "athletic-inspired clothing” in favor of “business casual”, take focus away from clothing overall. Find a hairstyle to feel comfortable with, remember “less can be more” with look, mannerism & action, work on honesty & openness for “purity of thought”, dare to say NO, be a positive influence every week.
