what do you think happens when you die?

laugh.gif
as if you know?
Can you prove me otherwise?
neither of you can prove the other wrong though. so you might as well just stop that noise right now and stay on topic. don't turn this into one of those threads.
thank you i was going to mention in my first post to not let this turn into that, but i thought people would have more sense than that..

thats what i get for giving people the benefit of the doubt..

this thread is to hear peoples different views on death not about their religion lets keep this BS free.

I think you are born a new person in a new life with no memory before
imagine if you figured out this "rebirth" cycle. you could just off yourself if you were bored of your current life. you could essentially pick what life you want, and you would be immortal.

read that.

do you guys ever contemplate whether or not we're alive right now?

i've thought about this from time to time but then it ends up scaring me :lol :rolleyes not what happens after but about passing..

I've always looked at the idea of an after life as a way for people who can't give up life to cope with death. The people who can't imagine it being over, who are too scared to look at it like it's going to disappear one day.

I think when you die, you're gone. Life goes on.

This also most likely applies to the end of human life as we know it, humans may one day vanish and life will go on. Word to every extinct species. :\

There was a shoe about this once upon a tîme. I can't remember the name but it was about what life would be like when humans disappeared. What happens to major cities after there isn't anyone taking care of them, what happens to amusement parks, how vegetation grows over the asphalt and everything turned into jungle again. A long series too.

The earth is more resilient than we think. "The earth is not going anywhere, we are"-George Carlin

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,

John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Luke 23:40-43
40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[a]”
43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Matthew 10
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. ...

Happy Easter (Ressurection Day)
The hope we have in Eternal Life is because 2000 years ago Jesus died but then rose again. He preceded us and showed the world he could conquer death. That event changed the world for everyone (believers and nonbelievers). You may believe they hid his body and it was all made up (greatest hoax and mass media campaign ever) or you may believe Jesus did indeed rise from his grave and we will we do likewise when he returns. I believe the latter.

Resurrection tales are not a belief unique to Christianity, these people got it down to a science.

my grandpa didn't resurrect.

hopefully our souls transfer to new born babies so we can live forever but forget the past

sometimes i think that might be the case b/c some people recall events decades ago. not sure if its true or not but i want to be leaf
