What was the consensus on te XX2?

Additionally, Bulky heel and the heel pods are a gimmick because a large chunk of the heel is phylon. Midsole creases quite badly.

I'd go as high as 6.5/10.

Although it came in some very questionable colors, the XX2 PE improves on the XX2 in a few respects: Better forefoot cushioning and much more secure fit as aresult of the redesigned upper.

Odds are someone will cut in with "Them XX2 PEs look wack." Neither is a particularly attractive shoe, but the PE feels like a reasonableperformance shoe at least.
