Whats wrong with ESPN?

Most of the people I like are still there.

Was hoping to see Sage Steele's name

I know

Twitter pouring salt in da wound by yanking some of their verified badges :lol :{

and changing the ESPN part of their names. That has to be humbling.

Maybe I dont understand why the **** I should listen to smith and hill sit on a couch and discuss non sports topics on a show called sportscenter ? yeah URBAN. just like on twitter earlier today, I was reading through some of the replies on hill's tweets and like clockwork anyone who had anything negative to say about the show was called a racist. thats not how it works

So what's so urban about that?

Does Scott Van Pelt have a "urban" show?

And naw, it ain't about race at all :rolleyes

i have no idea what they were thinking giving hill and smith the 6 oclock sportscenter. i mean i get what they were thinking, trying to be more urban and hip, but its downright awful. smith was tolerable on around the horn. hill is unbearable whenever she opens her mouth. its really a disaster imo

I like it

Maybe it's too "urban" for you

This dude really used "urban" :lol

Might as well throw in a "minority" and "colored"

There it is. That's why you don't like the show.

Basically :lol I've never watched the show, but I know what to expect based on previous stuff they've been on, decent analysis with up to date pop culture references

:lol it's the same as every other damn ESPN personality show but with different voices. No lighter counterparts though so it may bother some folks.

His & Hers is by far.....the BEST show on ESPN in decades.

Jemele gets racist, misogynistic hate. She's cool as a fan, and knowledgeable.

Michael Smith is that *****. Smart brother. Sharp, nuanced and keeps it a buck. They got great chemistry. Feed off of each other well....and are down.

You see what's in her mentions? :lol.

Idk why white people get so turned off by relevant race discussions. That white fragility is real. Y'all just wanna stick your fingers in your ears about obvious issues...and pretend like sports has only always been solely about sports. [emoji]128580[/emoji].

:lol That's what i'm not getting, they're probably the most rational, low key combo on the network but folks are acting like they're outrageous. Actually I do get it.

I still like a majority of the shows. I listen to First Take which is way better than Cold Pizza, PTI, Around the Horn every now and then, these shows have always been entertainment to me. It's not primarily made for sports analysis, it's more for the most entertaining figures on the network and their point of views, sort of like radio shows/podcasts. Wilbon and Max are my go to's.

Damn who's left? I liked reading Burnside and Stark, I thought they were good. RIP even more to hockey coverage

You already know who wouldn't like them when they did their short movies of Coming To America and Boyz N Da Hood. The Different World sportscenter intro they did was really good.

to be fair, when i put on sports, I don't wanna hear anything bout politics (like others.)

I havent watched SC consistently since middle school in the late 90s. News comes way too fast now, and opinions dont matter to me.. I switched to ESPNews years go and that was solid for awhile.

Lately, its just IG or YT quick hitting highlights as Im just too busy. Or I check for yahoo or espn highlights online, and they are right to the point.

We need more right to the point coverage and less analysis and opinions.. Fire them all and give me one female robot voice with quick hitting highlights

Urban? :rollin

Where are you from? Just admit you don't like black people expressing their culture and opinions and keep it moving.

First take is really the only thing I listen to out of ESPN... and that's via podcast too. Live NBA/NFL games as well but that's the only thing saving them

You can find that online or use your phone. That's why they've done the opposite.

Highlight plays appear on my twitter timeline less than a minute after they happen. The internet is slowly getting ESPN/SportsCenter the hell up outta here.

Only time i watch ESPN for the games. If I want to get NBA and NFL news, I just watch NBA TV and the NFL Network

ESPN laying off talent has little to do with viewership and a lot more to do with a drop in cable subscribers.

Was sad to see they let go of Ethan Strauss and Justin verrier, mainly for their contributions to True Hoop which is one of my favorite podcasts.

they can fire whoever they want as long as they keep the lebatard show together and keep floating them those paychecks
