have your own office or just dont give a damn.

before when I was in a cube, my managing partner's office door opened right up into my cube.  i just set precedence early about not giving a damn.  granted, i had to be on top of my stuff (as he would always ask how a certain project was coming along or this or that if he saw me goofin around), but as long as the work was done i just went with it.

now that i have my own office i make sure that my monitors are positioned at an angle where it takes atleast 6 steps from the door before they can see whats going on.  now i just goof off with reckless abandon whether or not the work is done.

Why do you have to have your ringer on in order to hear the WatchESPN app on iPhone thru the speakers?? Hate that but I just browse NT, Fb, and twitter. Mostly on my phone since all the good sites are blocked.

the cubicle life would be better if it were a job i was truly interested in. but ill resolve that issue in a yr or 2. i feel u tho.
