Where are the clowns that labelled Reggie Bush a bust?

Another question is:  Where are the clowns that labelled AP the greatest back of all time prematurely?

How so? Especially in Pro Football where expectation and draft slots mean ALOT.

A bust NEVER meant being a bum...it ALWAYS meant not meeting expectations. Alot of people get that confused.

Just because he is not a conventional RB and is a valuable all around play maker (makes receptions, special teams, and takes some snaps running) doesn't make him a bust.

He never was one, he's just not what ya'll expected him to be.

I'm sorry...but players create their paths. When you go out and perform other worldly on one level...of COURSE people and the media are going to expect that to continue on the next level. It's not like random players are picked and given a world of expectations to fulfill. I mean...do you believe Saints management thought they were JUST getting a valuable all around play maker at #2?

If Lebron James is averaging 16, 7, and 5 right now he's a pretty damn good player. Is he a bust? Of course...

BINGO

QFT.
He was expected to change how the RB position was played in the NFL.

He is a good player, but he never met the gaudy expectations that were placed on him after his time at USC.

The Texans were criticized to no end for not selecting him first overall, I think they were the winners in that draft.

With so many weapons on that offense, not everyone is going to put up Pro-Bowl numbers.

I understand the argument that he did not live up to "#2 overall expectations" but he's still a productive player and a very valuable part of the Saints offense.

Not meeting expectations does not necessarily make you a bust.

Yes... yes it does.

He is a major disappointment.   the Saints to have to keep 3 other RBs on the roster to make up for the deficiencies of their #2 pick in the draft. thats crazy

its crazy but MJD is having the career most thought Bush woulda had

Just imagine if the jags let MJD loose and return punts like Bush does.
MJD is the best collegiate punt returner Ive seen

and he tries way too hard to make things happen when $#*# isnt there.

That's exactly what a bust means

Although he's not completely a bust like everyone said, he definitely did not live up to his expectations.

Anybody who thought he was being drafted as a franchise running back was a moron. Dude wasn't even a full-time running back in college, ya'll are just in denial about giving the man his dues now.

He's a great football player, and a great asset to a very good team. Any team would be happy to have him. And therefore, no bust.

He needs to realize he's not playing in the NCAA anymore. Running to the outside will not work as effective in the big boy league. He still needs to learn how to run north south.

He was drafted #2 overall and he can't even carry the load. He's not a bust but he's not worth the #2 pick. Expectations are all relative. When you get drafted #2 you are expected to be an all-pro type of player, a piece you can build your team around. Reggie is none of those things.

there is No possible way you can call Bush a great football player

He's a bust. This recent success doesn't change that. His hype was unreal! Dude was supposed to dominate physically and athletically LeBron style!

It is hardly a one back league any more. Sharing the load will benefit Reggie. He will still be relevant in the league after backs like AP peak after 6 straight workhorse seasons.

He was drafted to be the franchise guy. Hell if the numbers would have worked out he would be wearing a Texan jersey but he has been anything but a franchise RB.

Not a bust though.

When your drafted #2 overall, you gotta be the premier back with probowls to be concsidered worth it. And he is not.
