Acceptable for basketball, on a day to day thing is probably the ugliest $*@** thing anyone can do, but then again I rock extremely low socks even in the winter, oh well.

Precisely. Switch out flip flops with some low top bball shoes and thats basically my college attire especially around finals.

Same here. I only wear crew socks for ball cause they're comfortable (Elite socks). But as for everything else, I wear some real low socks.
