Back in the Tupac days, cats like these would have been ghostwriters or hook writers because back then you had to be at least 85% real or you would have been watching the Source Awards from home!! The problem is now, everything gets a pass and money excuses all. I see cats in here subscribing to this dress wearing, sing-song, & "ain't tricking if you got it," mentality and it's a shame! Fakes couldn't lead a crew. And just peep how these cats hide their fakeness by hiding in VIP and going to super upscale clubs and restaurants. If that is all you got from my post, then you are an idiot. So making a song with Ross doesn't help Nas career in anyway? Nobody said it brought him up from the grave, but any song a rapper does is hopefully gonna' help his career in some way.



Even rappers that we used to respect are so lacking in integrity, that they boost up and collaborate with the frauds to help their careers.


Certainly Nas is granting some credibility to Ross by performing with him. He is definitely boosting up and collaborating with the fraud.

Ehh I disagree. Cole sounds like a lot of dudes I went to school with that was from NC. Actually most of the people I met from NC didn't sound "country", now cats from Georgia, Bama, N.O., and Florida..that's a whole different story. There's no way Jay Electronica actually talks like that being from N.O....no f'in way.

I can only speak for myself, but I was never checkin' for any of those guys you just mentioned, never had a mixtape, or even a song on an Ipod from any of those dudes, and I never even heard of Dom Kennedy.

His music is made really for summers, so he might be lacking in the radio department . . . but he def gets play on MTV/MTV Jams

J. Cole appeals to a male audience. He is gonna need a lot more songs like "Cant Get Enough" and "Practice" if he wants to become fully mainstream. Drake will be relevant for a long time because he has tapped into the goldmine that is the female audience.
