Yes it does actually. People iuno forget this or choose 2 ignore this very simplistic fact. Music is a business it generates revenue. It reminds me when magicjohnson started trying 2 put starbucks and einstein bros. in atlanta. It was very lucrative, then he decides to venture into the urban markets and expand tohood/ghetto areas. After stores start closing in like 3 4 months he stopped. And do u know y? The s*&t wasnt profitable.

It wasnt a issue of whether he wanted minorities in poor and rural areas to have fine establishments. It was simply hood folks aint paying 5 6 bucks for nocold $%$ coffee, and 8 bucks for a scone combo. It didnt matter if he likes the food and the establishments, cause he realized that his opinion doesnt means*&t. What matter is the opinions and preferences of the consumer. Consumer=profit=having ur a%$ stay in business.

To my dude who opening his own shoe store. If you only sell shoes u like, and promote a business the way u want it and not the way the consumers want it to be,i can tell u now ur business is gonna fail and fail fast.

I said Joe is wack because when u become a business man, whether u like it or dont like it ur number1 objective is to provide a product,deed, or service thatthe fans and consumers want. S*%t has nuttin to do with what u like,what ur preferences are. Its like this if i introduce a product into one of my stores, and i see there is little 2 know demand for it, it would be foolish stupid for me to not onlycontinue to sell the product, but to try 2 saturate,market, put more money into the product. Thus the reason his a$% was dropped from the label.
Also it wasnt him it was the labels marketing etc that made joe go gold. If he was infact the brains behind his success he would still be successful, but guesswhat he isnt. And also he did not have one of the biggest hits of the decade lol.

I think some1 who is detrimental to themselves and society, has issues for beyond what music they listen to. A dealer or a killer is gonna be that regardlessif his ipod is full of slum village or 3 6 mafia. There is so many issues problems, breakdowns in our urban community music is the very least of it.
