I can't wait till everything Kanye was saying about the media controlling people through purposefully giving them low self esteem and stamping out creativity in the youth gets diluted by the words fashion and Kardashian.

Let me first say I'm not a Kanye fan so I'm not riding or a Stan, don't have his last few albums and don't care about his sneakers or the clothes he drops, don't try to dress like him at all...

But aside from going off on some tangents and his tone + expressions, I feel like there was a lot of truth in the basis of what he was trying to say. It's easy to focus on him comparing himself to Jesus, Steve Jobs or DaVinci because that seems so audacious. I appreciate that he wants to do something different a buck the system to some extent, how there is a sort of classism that puts him in a certain category no matter how much money or success he has. It was a little odd how the show turned out as it was just another platform to explain that interview.

That being said, as much as he's trying to get his points across now, he's kinda brought a lot of this on himself because for a long time he came across strictly as a narcissist. Like it or not, HE created his persona. I haven't followed him that closely to know every event but it seems like a stretch to just blame it on the media or people's perception.

AND...saying that Kim deserves a star regardless of changes in entertainment? Nah.

On that note, I've wasted way too much typing on this, strikethrough everything else. I just thought it was interesting.

Not new at all. Look at Kim K, she's all glamor. So she's a vehicle herself, and her show which is also a larger representation of classicsm should be criticized as well.

I mean the dude rocks with a Kardashian, he's a fraud all day. And crazy.

He made some good points. Creativity is suppressed and I can definitely imagine it being frustrating for him to break into the fashion industry due to the elites of that world labeling him as a black rapper.

What I try to take into account in regards to Kanye is his comments in that MTV interview way back with Sway where he speaks on growing up with and being raised by his mom. I think what he perceives as being passionate about things that are important to him is often times misinterpreted as him being sensitive. There are cases to be made on both sides of that case.

I mean, so that makes what he said not true at all? Just cause he's with her? Nah.

FASHION?

:rollin

At least one thing that you wore/will wear this week was influenced by Ye, weather you like it/know it or not. Kanye is a creator. A producer. In all senses of those words. He's a psychadelic thinker. You wont understand him, and people like him only understand him sometimes.

But we need people like you too.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not.
