what jobs do you work?not to be that guy..but I work 60 plus hours a week between two jobs and I love it
I love fitness. I actually studied and got my personal training cert in January. I spent a few months training a few people and working out hard, it made me happy. Felt good to help people while doing something I enjoy.
But the problem is I was broke, so a job opportunity came up and I had no choice but to take it. It's a warehouse job. And with the new schedule I wasn't able to work with those people anymore, barely even have the time/energy to workout myself anymore.
I don't feel like I have a choice because student loans are hanging over my shoulder and rent in Santa Barbara is not cheap.
Basically I feel like I had to sacrifice the happiness I got from the fitness life to make a decent wage.
Had to choose money over passion, and I think it's the root of my unfulfilling weeks.
I obviously want to go back to it again, but bills have to be paid.
Working the warehouse job is like an entire 8 hour workout. Problem is, I have nothing left in the tank for fitness after work.
for a real estate finance company in the accouting department and at a athletic wear/shoe store on the weekendswhat jobs do you work?
I'm an aspiring rapper. Got the typical 9-5 after graduating college. I do my boring, robotic job every day then when 5 o clock hits I'm in the studio all night. I do shows 1-2 a week and spent countless hours networking and promoting. It's what keeps me going. Things have been going well for my music and I'm just waiting for the day I can quit. If I didn't have this dream, I don't know how I would cope with 9-5 life. This isn't how humans were designed or meant to live.
SoCal is probably the most oversaturated place with personal trainers..
Well here is the problem. Working at those places is like going to prison everyday imo.
You like working out, so get a job at a gym with high traffic. Then start freelancing as a personal trainer that makes house calls for some extra cash.
Your in SoCal. A place where it's nothing for fitness buffs and personal trainers to thrive financially.
Your welcome
SoCal is probably the most oversaturated place with personal trainers..
Man wasn't meant to be confined to such a mind numbing routine.Work, Eat, sleep, Repeat.
Sometimes gym before work.
It seems like that's every weekday, every week, every year since I graduated college.
I have a job, a wonderful girlfriend, a roof over my head and a warm plate of food on the table everyday so trust me I am extremely grateful and know how blessed I am to be alive. I thank God every morning for allowing me to once again wake up to life.
But why do weeks not feel fulfilling anymore?
I have a blue collar job so by the time I get home my body literally crashes. All I can do is eat, watch a little sports/browse NT then sleep.
Next day, repeat.
Weekends are obviously a little more enjoyable with the freedom to roam, take little trips, and enjoy yourself but they end so quickly they're so quickly forgotten.
My question to you fellow 9-5 workers, how do you guys enjoy your weekdays if your working such a tiring schedule?
Life's too short to ONLY enjoy the weekends.
How do we make work days more fulfilling?
5 out of every 7 days of our life can't just be robotic work routines for the rest of our lives, can it?
