wow..I feel bad for matt Affleck (poker heads)

ya'll dont know bout poker.
lol.
any hand can beat any hand at any given time.
some cats like myself are risky and go all in with wild hands and leave it up to the poker gods.

ive knocked off a KQ suited with 10,7.
all in. then the flopped 8,J,A then hit the 9 on the river.

dude left the casino lol

lol wut?

Maybe you view poker as gambling, but poker is a game of skill with an element of chance.

Anyone who plays for a living will tell you that.

Yeah i understand that it has more skill then slots. But there is a big element of chance involved.

It's gambling.

Man, that was brutal. But at the end of the day, he's got 500k. I don't feel that bad for him.

not really...any good player will figure out his style pretty quickly and use it against him...yea in the hand shown it was bad luck BUT poker is a game where you look at results over the long term...I wouldnt be pushing KQ pre there anyways BUT if they push KQ vs 107 all day KQ wins like 70% of the time...

you run into people like him all day at all the games...all you do is reload and keep going...knowing sooner or later hes gonna give the stack to someone...hopefully its you

and the Affleck thing has to be looked at in context....he had something similar happen to him last year which is why its such a big deal....people losing with AA happens all the time
when you try to get max value you open yourself up for things like this...i woulda shoved pre and hoped dude realized his Jacks were beat there and laid it down...

Thats not even that bad... its just magnified by the fact he was so close to the FT combined with the epic blow up he had last year.

Right........... like you wouldn't have slow played the best hand in poker in an attempt to become the chip lead in the biggest poker tournament in the world.  You would have just pushed pre flop.

it's called poker for a reason.

bad beat but 2 deep runs in the Main Event BACK TO BACK is an accomplishment in itself.
