Elijah Burke signs with TNA:

According to sources, former WWE star Elijah Burke has signed with TNA Wrestling and will be debuting in the company soon with a new ring name.

Burke had a tryout match with TNA back in late May in a match with former WWE developmental wrestler Shawn Spears who spent time briefly on the Smackdown brand.

Both got rave reviews by TNA officials following their match. Jeremy Borash also hinted recently on his official Twitter page that "Elijah Burke" would not be coming to TNA, seeming to suggest that he would be coming in under a new name. Burke was released by WWE in October 2008 and has recently spent time in Ohio Valley Wrestling (a former developmental territory for WWE) where he got his start.

Curious about how they bring him in.

WWE Diva Maryse posted on her twitter account that she was now "bionic", which appears to be a reference to a knee surgery she underwent over the last few days.

As we noted on WA.Com, Maryse has been having ongoing issues with her knee after her kneecap dislocated last December.

The origin of "Pretty Ricky":

R-Truth came up with the idea to do the "Pretty Ricky" character. He was apparently messing around doing the character on the road and some WWE people saw it, so now it's on national television. SmackDown creative writer Chris DeJosephs (a/k/a Big *%%@ Johnson) is in charge of producing the skits and Vince McMahon "absolutely loves them." Quite like the movie Bruno, most of the stuff you see are legitimate reactions, such as the initial skit in which he tried to go over the merchandise seller's table to take stuff with security dragging him away.

See how much changes when you're no longer over with the fans? The mistake was made when he was brought over to Raw and buried wk after wk. Gets introuble over pot and gets released. * Tyson Kidd vs. John Morrison

In his latest blog at JRsBarBQ.com, Jim Ross wrote, "The John Morrison vs. Tyson Kidd bout this Thursday night on WGN America's WWE Superstars is a helluva wrestling match especially considering the overall youth of the participants. Kidd can get it done and Morrison is a future, perennial, PPV main eventer, unless I'm dead wrong on both these young men. Food for thought: Kidd vs. Mysterio some day down the road is golden."

He added, "This week's WWE Superstars show, from what I could see of it, looks as if it could be one of the better WGN broadcasts to date."
