Not even wasting my time with h5, game isn't even halo anymore

If anything I'll give it a month before I buy it. See some streams, feedback from my old halo friends. 343 just can't get anything right, unfortunately. This is coming from a diehard halo fan, who always bought the games at midnight, went to professional events, etc.

We're the minority here, but I'm in the same exact boat you're in.

The only thing enticing me to spend $60 on another god-awful 343 game is the Halo story and how they handle it.

Also, please don't credit 343 with the MCC. They did good at graphics and visuals, but that launch was immensely horrendous to say the least. Very sad considering the games included were already made. I every time they say they want to cater to both new fans and the "old halo fans".

I honestly thought people hated h5 and only liked cod and destiny nowadays. Good for you guys if you're about it. Wish it was like this when all the cods came out!
H5 just seems waaaay too noob friendly to me, wish they would've made it more hardcore like h2, h1, and h3..the sprint, thrusterpack is just a joke. Aim down sights as well?

there's just way too much going on for no damn reason. Spartans getting all the abilities in the world for no reason, hammering into the ground to kill something like they're in super smash bros, 343 having to create their own maps / ideas, need i say more? It's not about shooting to kill and competitive multiplayer anymore, it's about shiny guns and abilities to keep up with CoD.

I think Antidope might be on the same boat, but I'm not sure if his views have changed.

H5 beta had one redeeming quality, the aim assist was lower than what we've seen from 343 but iIwouldn't be shocked if the retail version of the game has everyone 4 shotting like they're Roy.

Game is terrible.

It's not that it's changing. At least not for me.

It's what it's changing into. It's garbage. It doesn't even feel like Halo anymore.

Look at H1-H3. They changed every time, but for good reasons and things that actually made sense / didn't take away from what it was- HALO.

I loved them both equally but when halo 2 dropped I thought it was perfection when it dropped I was over at my boys house playing it everyday and when I had a 360 in time for halo 3 so many hours put in

So why is Sprint like the worse thing to happen since Trump trying to run for president for you? The game isn't going to be COD, can't regen running, yall wrote the game off since the Beta.

It's what it's changing into. It's garbage. It doesn't even feel like Halo anymore.

It's not like anything has fundamentally changed since the beta. I don't need to play it again cause nothing has changed.

No regen doesn't alleviate the problems sprint causes

Or the gameplay is catching up to the Lore? I've always been curious as to what takes precedent in situations such as this. Spartans have always been able to run, climb, etc. in the books and fictions but in 2001 the ability to add these features wasn't really an option as it is today. Don't get me wrong, I prefer H1 and H2 over any other halo due to their simplicity but to say that all these abilities are coming out of left field is a bit exaggerated.

IDK and dont say that because you've been to tournaments means that you've put in more time. I'm fairly certain, I've put in just as much as you

But seriously, I do agree that Halo 5's MP is destined for a fate similar to that of H4. Unfortunately, the FPS genre has become rather stale as each developer copies more from each other and AAA titles lose their unique aspects and qualities. The days of true competitive multiplayer derived from ranks and playlist went away a long time ago and have been in the hands to the players for a while which is why we continue to see a huge rise in e-sports. As a result, the playlists we see reflect a bigger push towards social and less competitive gameplay.

From a Lore perspective - I am very excited for H5 and I enjoyed H4 (I have some critiques about how certain things were handled but I digress).

From a MP perspective, I dont expect to play H5 MP that much as it didnt seem to enjoy the beta all that much. H2A and H4 were meh and I can play them every once and a while.

Overall, I am a Halo MP purist but its hard to reconcile SP and MP when each one benefits from the addition or removal of certain aspects.

Well it works like that in a perfect world but we don't live in that world.

Overall this is business, they need to be able to compete with other FPS shooters that have revolutionized the genre, 343 make some tweaks to do so. For folks living in the past you have MCC. Everyone is happy.
