So MS is dropping a dashboard update and fixing the party system right around the time Titanfall drops

 Microsoft is preparing to release its first major Xbox One dashboard update in March. Sources familiar with the plans have revealed to The Verge that the update will focus on fixing a number of issues with the Xbox Live service on the console, alongside other system fixes. Party-chat problems and issues with the usability and placement of social features of Xbox Live will be improved with the update. The update timing was first revealed by a forum poster at NeoGAF, and The Verge has verified it separately.

I think that TF console pic is fake, the image on the box doesn't match the console

Man I've been telling you guys since last year that this year marks the 10th anniversary for Halo 2 and was asking/wondering if they're going to do something like they did for Halo 1 anniversary.

I also figured since they might do something for Halo 2 that would mean Halo 5 would be pushed back... I believe they did the same thing with Halo 4 and Halo 1 anniversary don't remember.

If they're smart they'll do what was done with Titanfall and wait until like February/March once the November COD dies out because lets face it as much crap as everyone talks about COD it's still the crownholder and it's not changing anytime soon... Titanfall isn't going to change that, and the beloved Halo 2 that everyone raves about isn't going to do it either.

I've never played Halo 2 multipalyer online because I didn't start playing online against others unitl like 2007 when I got a 360 I think so I didn't get to experience Halo 2 online. I started out with Halo 3 and I put so many hours into Halo 3 multiplayer.

I think they said that the Halo 2 anniversary and Halo 5 is going to play off the feel like OG Halo 2 & 3 and not use the engine that they did with Reach and Halo 4.

I think Halo 2 is going to bomb just like Halo 1 anniversary did because of the COD affect. So many people cry about COD but it's conditioned people to be turned off from something that is different than it is. Halo is not a pick up and play type of game like COD is and because of that it's going to hurt any other FPS shooter title because so many are used to the ease of use and play of COD.

To others saying that they will only play Halo 2 and drop all of your other games that's not going to happen. A lot has changed since Halo 2 changed the game and face of FPS online shooters. If you go back and play Halo 2 now you wouldn't be having that much fun because the community as a whole for all FPS has gone to crap due to people caring about stats and other BS... whose to blame for that?... COD!

Everyone thought GTA 5 would come through and shut everything down and put COD to the back seat with it's multiplayer... look how that turned out... just like the rest will have a spark when they release then die off slowly or quickly.

^for the record I hope I'm wrong about what I wrote and Halo returns to it's glory days, Titanfall is killer and COD starts getting better.

I can't wait to see what all of the hoopla is about Halo 2 multiplayer though I want to see if it's worthy of the hype that it gets.

I also hope that they put the bumper jumper button configuration for Halo 2 because it wasn't in OG Halo 2.

Now that they're saying they might release a XB1 for $399 I'm wondering if I should hold out or what.

No optical drive so does that mean no Blu-Ray?

Buying this year for sure though I want to see reviews on Titanfall first, but I'm guying for Halo 2.

I would assume it means no blu-ray if they did go that route..I'd consider it if it had a massive HD and digital games were cheaper.

I think I'd prefer a kinectless xbone before an opitcal driveless one.. but that probably isn't happening.. cause I can use snap and all the other features without the kinect.

I mean, halo 1 anni sold 2 million copies though. So while cod will have an effect, if the multi is true to halo 2, if take that any day of cod.

One of the reasons why I liked 3 so much because forge and the custom games. It's what made halo so unique because you could have fun with friends while not having to play competitive multiplayer all the time. I just want halo 5 to bring back that feeling because when less people tried to make custom games and forge halo lost its replay value

I have a funny feeling that in 3 to 4 years the One's slim revision will include kinect built in the system and no disk drive.

I cant see that. Look how big the connect is. And although the system is damn quiet there would be some fan humming distorting audio. Much smaller kinnect n the future im sure but i cant see it being built n the console. Esp after all the spying talk

If so imma make sure we go have our Valentines Day activities earlier in the day cause imma be going in all night.

X one dash boards is pure trash, slow and hidden. They truly took the window design and threw it in. They really don't need to do much, just steal the 360 boards and add on from there. Also, the voice commands really are pretty much useless IMO. They don't work half the time.

100% without question. Although h4 is "playable" it's like a cheap imitation rather than a sequel

I'm quite sure in 3-4 years the tech inside the Kinect could be shrunk just like the silicon inside the X1 will shrink with the new inevitable slim model and if were taking out the disk drive ? Kinect could definitely fit inside the box.

if anything they need to make kinect wireless so you have more options on where to put it not attached to the box.

Wireless plus a clip on the bottom that's adjustable so you can set it on top of any LED TV would be clutch.

I've had to turn it off the option when playing 2K.. was getting Techs and calling timeouts from my son yelling jibberish around it

When those Xbox commercials come on and the say commands, by Xbox does it. On paper the kinect sounds cool, but in actual application it sucks
