At this point there are no games for either system titanfall being the first "system seller" to drop so is it worth 500 no but he's not paying 500 for the game if he wants to play probably the best game out for either system the grab the bundle which is a damn good deal so early in the systems life
What are you really playing on ps4 right now? Multiplats? Things will change but if you only want one of these right now but plan on getting both at some point get the one now because tf is the most fun game I've played in a very long time and that's all that matters

Its a hit or miss honestly some games you will be fine and others you can notice lag but there are still problems just not as bad as before
