I can't see this hobby slowing down anytime.
Nikes bottom line would hardy suffer if the buying & selling in the collectible sense just suddenly stopped or slowed down
Nike has the hype down to a science only thing that's missing is nike to directly tap into that resell market
this is the only part nike so far has not got into and don't know its even worth it for nike to step in the reselling business
raising the box price of kicks really
doesn't put a dent into it
People have been waiting for the bubble to burst for a good 5-6 years now. I think that the bubble won't burst simply because kids are starting to get into buying shoes at the age of 13. The cycle will just keep going.
This has been going on for at least 5 years though its not stoping anytime soon. As long as rappers, athletes , and celebs are supplied with free shoes this bubble won't burst.Bubbles take time to burst. **** doesn't happen overnight.
People paying $200 plus for shoes is not logical or sustainable. I don't care who wears them or who made them. Let's be serious this isn't something people need and in time folks will realize that. Just wait for the economy to slow down some more.
Indeed.I been hearin that forever too. Ppl will always have screwed up priorities. Nike will flourish forever.
You people need to realize that global growth is slowing and will only continue to get worse. Too many countries have too much debt. Europe is on the verge of collapsing economically. When these issues become more serious spending gets reigned in. You won't be spending 200-1000 for sneakers when you need that money for food and to pay actual bills.
Every bubble has its kool aid drinkers. Keep sipping and believing this is normal.
**** has been wild since 09/10 that's half a decade.People paying $200 plus for shoes is not logical or sustainable. I don't care who wears them or who made them. Let's be serious this isn't something people need and in time folks will realize that. Just wait for the economy to slow down some more.
