How much time was the trip total?
Thx bro. We did 6 days in Mexico and 4 days in Havana. We booked airbnb in Cuba. It was really cheap. We had a 2 Bedroom apartment with an L-Shaped Balcony right on Obispo Street which is the main walking street. It literally was the best location, within walking distance of everything. And we only paid $60 a night! It was really cheap in Cuba.

I did Airbnb with some friends in Osaka and Kyoto..
Accommodations in Osaka were very simple, no bells and whistles but it was very cosy and clean.
The real experience was in Kyoto, where we stayed in a old-style Japanese house.. The whole sleeping on the floor wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought haha... The host was an 80 year old lady whom was very hospitable and accommodating. If oyu pay a little more, she will make you a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning. I think if ya'll decide to stay in Kyoto, you should def give it a try for a night.

if you're in kyoto, i would suggest you consider going to arashiyama and the miho. google those spots and see if it appeals to you.

Except if you want to visit all the temples, i don't think you need to spend more than 2-3 days in kyoto.
I did 7 days in tokyo and the. Split the next 7 days between kyoto-osaka (short 25 min train ride from one another). You can even stay in osaka and do a day trip to kyoto and see alot of the things kyoto has to offer in a big full day.

I would do 5 days Tokyo, 3 days Osaka, 2 in Kyoto. Be ready to do a lot of walking around though.

mine will be 4 1/2 days each, kyoto and tokyo. while in kyoto im doing sidetrip to the mountains to snowboard and only half day in osaka.
and thanks for the replies, i was thinking 10,000¥ per day (around 100$), thats for food, museums and transportation only. shopping would be separate budget

i'd probaly cut tokyo by a day or two.
There is a million thing to do in tokyo for sure, but i'm sure you can squeeze what you really want to do in 5 days.
THIS seems like a good proportion.
Personally I really enjoyed Osaka. My favorite I would say.

The reason why in planning to spend 7 days in tokyo is because Im planning to attend EDC which takes up two days

sure in that case it makes sens.
Then i would stay in Osaka for 3 days and do a day trip to Kyoto.
You can do all the "Must see" in a day there (golden temple, bamboo forest, gion district + a few other temples)

Arashiyama is not that big of a place. I was actually surprised, i also thought it was huge.
i'm sure you can fit in a couple more places in a day with Arashiyama and Kiyomizu if you wake up early and have a big day (I think it's worth it to have more time in Osaka).

I went to Nara one of the days I was in Osaka. Was actually a pretty fast trip for me in Osaka & Kyoto I think I did may 3 to 4 days at most between the two, I felt it was really rushed... There's def more to do, depending on what you like.

What are you trying to get into?
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be at Red Rocks on the 29th and 30th - coolest music venue you'll ever go to. Even if you don't like Tom Petty, I'd suggest going to see Red Rocks amphitheater. It is basically a stadium carved into some giant rock formations. There are a couple of hiking trails around the area, and there are always tons of dimes working out on weekend mornings.
Rockies are in town that weekend against Seattle. I'd suggest buying cheap tickets and just walking around / hanging out in the stadium. They have the "Rock Pile" which are the cheap bleacher seats in center field, and they also have the Rooftop bar area which is fun.
Good snow so far this year, so there is a pretty good chance that the ski area Arapahoe Basin will still be open by Memorial Day (and probably into June).

I definitely won't be in town for Tom Petty. I'll be there from the 12th to the 16th. We're going to see the Mariners vs Rockies so that was already happening
