Your Next Vacation Destination.....?

for those who've been to rome ... would you suggest buying the vatican / coliseum tour online?

Me and my girl went in december. We didnt book anything ahead of time and just walked up to the front the of the entrance with zero delay. If you feel like you need a guide then yeah buy ahead of time.

Will do! Let's see how long my 6 y/o will hold up

also going to Venice, wifey has the Gondola rides on her list to do - is that really necessary? Got a cool Airbnb right near St Marks ... will also be in Florence as well ... tbh dreading all the walking and sightseeing.
I did the Gondola ride. It was cool to go through the city on one but also one of the last things we did in Venice. If you're going to Venice I suggest taking a boat ride to Burano/Murano. I'm sure you've seen pics of those multi colored building.

Side note for the vatican, you gotta sorta be covered up while going inside. Shorts at least covering up to the knees. I went last year and behind me was a couple from germany. The girl wore shorts that ended at the thighs and they didn't let them in.

Heading to Shanghai for a couple days (doing the 72 hour transit visa) then heading to Japan. Going to stay mostly in Kansai then end back in Tokyo to catch up with friends and fam. Unfortunately going tduring golden week so hopefully its not too hectic.

Sounds like an awesome trip, bro!

Yeah Golden week is a pretty beast time to head there, but it should be fun nonetheless!

The women here

I can concur on this. In Europe, it makes me realize how big US woman can be (not that there is anything wrong). Everyone in Europe though is trim as hell and seemed to look like some Euro models.

This reminds me of the Seinfield episode "Not that theres anything wrong with it"

I’d have to say I agree. I’ve caught a few here and there but for the most part everyone is in relatively decent shape. I was surprised by the amount of “normal” dudes walking around with baddies. Not that it doesn’t exist out here but I think the way they interact with social media is a lot different more different then us. I didn’t get the feeling chicks were gassing themselves based on followers etc.

Side bar, just a subjective statement but the world is a big *** ghetto right now. I was completely unaware of the the refugee situation going on through many parts of the EU. I couldn’t wrap my mind around the supposed spiritual capitol of the world (Vatican city) having homeless people chilling right outside of it.

Noticed this as well. It's crazy.

Another odd revelation about the “pros” in Amsterdam is even how good looking they were. My wife and I walked around Red Light District cause it is still an odd tourist spot but everyone women in the windows were like hot porn stars. It’s pretty funny seeing people do the walk of shame in front of hundreds of people.

Any recommendations for reliable, and inexpensive airliners flying from Sydney to Auckland or Queenstown?

Also, looking for tourist things to do in Australia?

I remember the gondola rides in Venice costing like 75 euros. Straight fleecing tourists. But women dig it, romantic thing to do once in a lifetime.

Also recall good Aperol Spritz running only 2 euros in Venezia. Highway robbery for that cocktail in NYC, unsurprisingly.

When you going again, end of the month? Gonna hit you with my Venezia and Firenze lists. I also owe this thread my list of Paris restaurants.

Going to New Orleans Monday if you guys have any restaurant or activity suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sweeping generality but European women are definitely beautiful. One thing that was a noticeable turnoff for me is the prevalence of cigarette smoking. In college it was no big deal to hook up with a chick puffing Camel Crush all night, but just turning 30, nah, I'm good. We off that.

i was so disappointed in venice tbh

it was nice to see the architecture but amount of people in such a small space made the experienced underwhelming. on top of that, venice felt like a giant outside shopping mall

I always say this when people mention NOLA, but I don't care, Napoleon House is my favorite restaurant in the French Quarter. Obviously gotta hit Cafe Du Monde for fresh beignets. Tourist attraction but totally worth it. Willie Mae's for fried chicken and bread pudding. Commander's Palace for the upscale Creole history. Lafayette Cemetery is right near there, if you wanna do a two-for-one.

Wifey and I thought the WWII Museum was dope. Catch a Pels game before AD gets shipped outta town. They got three home games this week: Tuesday (Bucks), Friday (Blazers) and Saturday (Suns).

Appreciate it man. Funny you mention the Pelicans because we discussed potentially checking a game out and we were blown away by prices lol. I’m from NYC where Knicks suck and tickets are still a joke so it was insane seeing them so low. But I’ll def check those restaurants out

Feel you, man. I work in NYC so definitely know the pain of inflated value when it comes to tix, food, drinks, etc. Homies wanted to catch Philly at the Garden since I'm a Sixers fan, but the prices for good seats weren't even worth the trouble.

For restaurants, add Clancy's, Brennan's and Coquette to your list. The latter is Chef Michael Stoltzfus's spot. J&J for crawfish.

Enjoy NOLA, bruv. They've got pretty good brew down there. Rebirth Pale Ale from NOLA Brewing, also Hopitoulas from same company.

You’re the man. Appreciate it bro. I’ll let y’all know how it went when I return Lol

Just came back from Accra & Kumasi, Ghana.

Never going again. So underdeveloped, way too hot and the water is contaminated. Only way i'm going back is if i have wi-fi and portable AC.

Nah the motherland was beautiful; it just had quite a few things that i dont understand. The sewage system boggles, my mind.

Going to Punta Cana in May... won the work incentive trip again. Wanted the Aruba option but unfortunately that option was already gone. Cool part is that my birthday over laps the trip again so that's cool.
