Your Next Vacation Destination.....?

Was going to photo bomb yall but all my photos i try to attach keeps saying to large.

But anyways man i been all over europe and i would say Spain has some good food nice history.

I been to bareclona, mallorca. Canary islands, and now Madrid.

I say all that to say i am done with spain there is alot of subtle racism here. People act like they **** dont stink they all act like they top **** they rude as hell and as soon as they see im a black american they try to switch up. Beautiful country and food the people here are something else. Just dont understand why all them trying to look white here.

I did not see not one interracial couple here and i been to plenty of european countries and seen that as soon as i hit the town but here rarely seen it

Done with this country

Hope portugal is better seeing its on mu bucket list but shares a border with spain not getting my hopes up.

wanted to add to this post about Madrid.

my brothers yall just go on ahead and skip over Spain. These comments.....

Just got my tickets for summer in Tokyo, will be there for two weeks. Haven’t traveled thru asia solo before, so I’m feeling really intimidated, but thought it was important to challenge myself and stretch my comfort zones
You'll be fine.,I just came back from Japan last week. Was in tokyo for a week solo after my friends left. There's a reddit group for Japan travel, met up with a few people from there.
Pop into a bar in Golden Gai or omoide yokocho and you'll definitely meet people who are also traveling and locals who just want to stop by and get a drink after work. I went into a bar in golden gai and randomly started talking to a japanese business man with broken about Pride and UFC when he overheard me telling the bartender I do muay thai back home .

I’ve met up with several randos from NT or other sites when I’ve been by myself…but I’ve always been weirdly cautious about doing it when my wife is around because I don’t want the weird questions about how I met this other person. Do any of the married folk worry about that? Or do we just tap tap pull and shake it off?

Anybody ever vacationed in Alaska? Fiancé just booked a trip for us, with her sister and brother in law. She said since the boys both like fishing, and our last trip was warm weather, that Alaska sounded like a good idea. I have absolutely no idea of what to do there. I know the names of 2 cities, but I’ve not once in my life heard of any specific attractions.

I went to Alaska in 2017 on a Norwegian cruise. It's epically beautiful out there. We went in September so it was mild weather wise. We went to Jeneau, Ketchkin & Skagway. Got to see a lot of old-school saloons & brothels in Skagway. You're going to have a lot of fun out there.

In Toronto this weekend. My first time here, which is crazy, seeing as to how it’s such a quick trip from NYC.

Not loving it so far. Loved Montreal when I visited but not really feeling it here. On paper, the city is pretty diverse, but they’re very wary of black people and Indians, although less so. Maybe I’m in the wrong areas, but I’ve noticed blatant discrimination at bars, restaurants, and stores. I didn’t expect anything different, but for the level of good PR that Toronto has compared to say, an NYC or Chicago, I’m a little surprised.

Interesting… Did a long weekend in Toronto and didn’t notice any bad energy. Wife and I are Black and we traveled with an Indian couple ironically. Even went to this high-end mall so he could buy his wife a bag. Salesperson was super cool, sampled all their colognes and talked about traveling . I’d definitely go back for an event. Honestly never felt more safe in a major city walking around at 2am.

I can’t believe I never knew this thread existed! I love traveling, and have been fortunate enough to visit a decent amount of places so far (Paris, Barcelona, Seoul, Bali etc).

But in a few months I will be taking a very special trip. I always dreamed of taking my mom somewhere outside of North America and it’s finally going to happen. We’re going to Dublin for a week, along with my good friend and her mom. It wasn’t even on my radar but my friend found a flash sale for non-stop round trip flights for under 400, so it was a no brainer! Cheers!

Let me know what you need

Finished up a few weeks in South Korea. Exhausted. I think i’m done traveling for a decade or so.

You ain’t lyin man! Every time I get back from vacation I say to myself, “there’s no way I’ll be able to do this in my 50’s and 60’s!!!”

Traveling is hard on the body. I know there’s retired people out there that couldn’t travel when they were younger because they couldn’t miss work or didn’t have the funds. I pray for them all

“I need a vacation from my vacation.” -something I’ve said more than once before

I actually don’t consider my trips vacations. It’s traveling, exploring, etc. Definitely not relaxing. But it’s what I prefer. Not a big “chill at the beach all day” guy.
