this is the same business where Michael Jordan’s millionaire son backdoored an entire collaboration release for money he blew at a casino. For these folks reselling shoes is just as much about clout as it is turning a profit.

That might just be good faith gesture since it was nothing. No bank trying to eat 100k 6+ months after the fact. Most banks probably have an amount of what can give back even if they can’t recover.

I fully understand I’m an idiot for not trusting my gut about ZK, but it says something about the state of sneakers right now that so many were willing to spend money with him.
I put in an order for the Chicago 1s at $224 because I know I have nearly no shot at getting a pair for retail. Resale will probably start at $500+.
Nike could greatly reduce the impact of guys like Zadeh and companies like StockX and GOAT if they made more pairs. People wouldn’t turn to Zadeh if they had a good shot of getting pairs for retail on release day.

It’s mostly the reseller cats that are burned by this. And Nike isn’t going back to the days of j1 sitting. They’re having record profit for last 3 years. Thing will slow down with the incoming recessions. But the genius marketer will push with collars and what not to keep demand up. U guys see all those Travis kicks on the 27th?

FYI for those filing a chargeback, keep in mind most banks will almost always automatically reimburse you while they build the case. The other party will have the opportunity to dispute, which can reverse the charge.
It’s a hit or miss and always incredibly time consuming, just make sure to keep contact with the bank till the case is closed.

Zadeh isn’t responding to anything. Feds got to him. Most of cats with recent orders will be fine. But those longer will be SOL.
My advice is seek counseling help if you’re in the deep red.
