If Conte said he would be willing to work with Icardi, Icardi would be playing, look at the pull he had to get that Lukaku deal done.

It was already determined by the president of Inter and the club's CEO that Icardi would never play for Inter again prior to Conte's arrival, and Conte, since he's technically still new to the club, is abiding by the management's decision. Conte could have a say in the personnel decision making (such as making it known he wanted Lukaku), but ultimately Inter's upper management has the final say on who stays and goes, and Icardi has been long past the expiration date due to being a cancer to the club. You can only get away with so much disrespect until it reaches the breaking point.

Icardi is no position to to pick and choose anymore. If Conte wants to play him, he should thank his lucky stars.

Crazy thing is that she has denied every transfer move for Icardi and the only one she wants is Juve due to it being only an hour drive for family from Milan. But Inter would NEVER sell Icardi to Juve. There was also a rumor that Monaco offered to buy Icardi and give him a 12 mil a year contract, but Wanda and Icardi rejected it. They must love the Milan lifestyle.
