RM are getting a huge pass today and I don’t know why, they were losing 4-1 at the Bernabéu. Yea they had some subs in, but come on, 4-1 man.

Still everyone is focused on Barça and Messi today - when has playing at San Mames ever been easy for any club? Never.
Also, Barca actually played very well. Controlled the match but were just unlucky.
Bilbao had 1 shot on target in the 93rd minute and it was a lucky header.

but cmon coupe you know the Madrid story is boring compared to the Messi and Barca turmoil that is happening. New manager, new tactics, inconsistent results, injuries to Suarez and dembele , Messi and abidal bust up.
Barca is must see tv right now

That's a real goon right there :pimp:

You know who his cousin is right?

Yea I get it’s the sexier story, but 4-1 at home. I wouldn’t let that slide if I was RM fan.

Barca look like a pep team with no bite.. all that passing and no end result. Obviously Quique needs more time, this is very much a Valverde team still. I also imagine this messi stuff isn't helping.

Lets be clear though, I think we can all agree this is Messi pushing for another contract. Helps that an ex manager is also leading an oil rich club who could "tech" afford him.

That’s very fair but we lost Suarez who was responsible for 40% of the goals since he’s been here. Dembele is injured who has proven effective whenever he was on the field.
So it’s basically Messi and 17 year old Fati. We also let Carlos Perez walk away
Also let Abel Ruiz, the la masia prospect cf, go to braga.

Barca was going to give him any number he wants on a contract so it's not about that, Nobody wants to be known as the guy who lost Messi. It's about power, losing Neymar, getting Griezmann, not getting Neymar this past summer, picking the wrong the managers, that extra tour they took before the season, etc... Has all led to the current situation.

Isnt Bartomeu not allowed to run again? He should be a lifelong president :)

I don’t really care, even to the extent that I didn’t tune in to begin with. Zidane’s lineup showed he didn’t either. Copa del Reys are footnotes in history. Zidane has taken a sinking ship with its star signing injured and turned them into a unit that are the favorites for the league. I’m not going to be ungrateful and just forget how bad rock bottom felt. It’s also been clear that even more than the CL, RM cares about the league this season. Zidane has said it and it’s what the fan base wants too. Maybe the time will come where we eventually crave a CdR.

Lastly, this season was supposed to be a transition one, but our overachieving and Barca underachieving opened a window for us. It’s easy to say now, but the reality is that this group that’s largely the same as last season’s wasn’t even supposed to be here. All things considered, a scoreline in the 70th minute of one match isn’t a reason to break out the pitchforks.

“Premier League clubs have told referees chiefs they want to bring in a new VAR offside system for next season that will give attacking players 10cm leeway in marginal decisions.”

Benfica would have won this hypothetical game, just like they’re gonna run us out the pitch tomorrow.

Never been so less intrigued and filled with pessimism for a Clássico in my life....

sfc415 sfc415 you win

After the money/players brought in, how could anyone view this as a transition year for Madrid? I get that you feel as though they have surprised you but let’s not rewrite history here. Money was certainly spent with the idea of taking back the league/ucl.

He’s a Benfica fan?? Never knew there are benfica fans up in here. I didn’t even realize the Classico is this weekend. Still recovering from a heartbreaking Super Bowl loss.

I wouldn’t say I’m a straight up fan anymore like Coupé It Coupé It is for Porto; let’s just say these days I just prefer that they win. It’s hard for me to be a true fan when Benfica (and all Portuguese clubs) are just feeder clubs for clubs that are Champions League contenders.

I can’t blame them, since it’s good business, but it just takes a ton of excitement out of watching a club play when you know that whoever your star players are this year will be gone the next, leaving the club in a damn near permanent “early CL exit” position

and yeah luisfigo luisfigo I feel you on the SB loss. Got nothing to look forward to for a while with Warriors tanking and Giants being complete garbage again :lol

Don't think anybody thought we would would win the CL this season, the league I expected to compete for a title, but majority of people be in here were saying we don't have chance and Barca & Atleti were far ahead of us. I'm not going to act like RM us an underdog, but this was considered a down period for club.

Lmao

That video is never not funny

I just don't get how Isco & James look so bad, how are you washed at 28, with no major injuries
