flyeed flyeed what you think about this deal

"The £35m price tag on Sissoko may slow things down but it appears Madrid may offer the Championship club two young players, most probably Mariano Diaz and Marcos Llorente, on season-long loans in order to make a deal more attractive."

Dude can VERY easily go down as a a bad fit/bust. So even in this inflated market I think it's too much. Dude lacks the vision and ability to play possession based football. I also don't think he has a mindset in wanting to be great. He's one of those mercurial type players, and that's not what I think will be the difference in making RM a better La Liga team.

If the French connection with Zizou gets a lot out of him, he'd be worth maybe $5m less than that price. Imo it's too much money for a risk. And I'm not comfortable with the summers only big signing being a risk who's already in his mid 20s. If there's more business to be done then I'm fine with it at a slightly lower price. But it seems like this and bringing Morata back are going to be the main additions for Real's summer if it happens. I do like that if Casemiro goes down we'd have an insurance policy on midfield muscle though.

Overall, since we don't seem to be in the market for anyone else, **** it I'm on board with it. Verratti just came out and said he's not looking to move either.

the game is on WatchESPN if anyone is trying to watch..... but be forewarned the ESPN3 announcers are ghastly

Evan Newton's revenge game here, Buckle trying to find a spot for newly acquired loanee Hall, the team still trying to find its way with Klimenta out w/ his ACL tear, will Sac score in the 1st half... lots of things to watch for going into this midweek affair.

Ah, true. I'm not too versed in the minor leagues here, but I cant imagine both USL and NASL can coexist much longer. One has to be cannibalized. If you merge those 2 leagues, and feed a few teams to the MLS (Sac, Minn, Comsos, etc), why not set up a pro/rel system? Would make the seasons more exciting knowing you can't tank and be okay.

For sure, that's the consensus and would really be ideal. Bias aside, as of now I feel like USL has that infrastructure to succeed in the long term, granted both have been around for a long time but USL has made the better moves recently for the long haul, having that direct partnership with MLS and integrating so many "2" teams into their league like Timbers 2, Sounders 2, etc. But honestly i wish the two would merge, but it ain't happening anytime soon there is "beef" there between the two leagues.

Have you gone to a match this year? I haven't been since they curved me, interested in actually attending at least one this year though, upset they didn't have any EPL teams on the schedule during the summer.

:hat Good to see him continue to do well. Sounded like he really hit the ground running after joining in the spring.

Speaking of FC Dallas earlier, looks like Weston McKennie is on his way to Schalke as soon as he turns 18 this month. 8o

I remember reading this a couple of years ago. Will be interesting to see what happens to the NASL over the years

need better pics of those kits :smokin

Just finished watching the movie, Pele: Birth Of A Legend

Good movie though
Found this fascinating about how ginga style started in football

It's so unconvincing that no journalist has attached their name to that story :lol

I still feel like there's too much smoke for nothing to happen but as the DDG saga showed us,anything can happen before a contract gets signed and even after :lol.

In any case, really hoping this is the last week of this ****...

NBA is trash now anyways.

I don't want the MLS to model itself after the NBA

Ironically, it's the NBA that is becoming more like European football. This new Kevin Durant move looks like the annual Barca or Real picking up one of the best players in the world even though they were the greatest teams in football to begin with. The NBA might as well remove this salary cap BS when a move that can create a team so overpowered can take place. At least then the Knicks would be competitive.

Barca tonight :smokin

Getting washed ain't we :lol

They did a Vardy vs Messi comparison on Sky Sports news and it was done without a hint of piss taking. Was a weird thing to see :lol

Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports tweeted this
Gabriel Jesus will be confirmed as Manchester City player in next 24 hours. Turned down Barcelona. City deal for Moreno also very close
Pep and Txiki have been up to something the rumors for the past few weeks say Moreno would be loaned back for a year and Jesus would stay with Palmerias till the end of their season. So focus on the attack with young talent thats technically gifted.

I wonder where the Stones deal is at if thats even still a thing knowing how Everton likes to play hard ball
