and another thing.

old timers like to say "Steph couldn't play in our era" as if that's a badge of honor.

let's say that's true

why would we let the likes of Ron Harper rob us of the entertainment steph has provided?
They have one goal when they say, "Steph couldn't play in this era."

Similar to the reasoning fools in this thread, do it they simply want to discredit Steph's accomplishments.

appreciate that my man had some swag to his jumper

that thing looked smooth and quick on a pull up
He was a great little man scorer for his role.

Shot 45% from 3 one year while playing for SEA. Damn, nobody could figure out that people needed to shoot more?

It was just a different era. People were cautious with the 3PT Shot.

He had a 50 PT game as well

And also this.

I'm aware it was just a shot at our resident basketball neophyte jpzx jpzx who was for some reason touting Lemon pepper Lou over the weekend.

Ya I’m new to basketball, because I’m not in this thread all the time talkin HOOPS with you, our neighborhood 16 year old.

Well someone with a limited knowledge of the recent game would know that Lou Williams been trash in the playoffs his whole career pretty much. That may be out of your purview though as a casual.

All I said was doubt Lou come playoff time and you got absolutely triggered

bruh hearing marc zumoff in that sixers clip back in 1995 as the announcer is mind blowing

he didnt change one bit to this day

Old Heads > Young Dudes

BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE This is the type of stories you miss out on by being scared of listening to vets discuss basketball.

nah there’s another clip of him saying GP was too skinny for him once he figured him out.

I’m gonna go against the guy who’s 6’4, so I said every position became skillful, so when the 90s talking about all yeah y’all soft, we would put y’all on your a*s. I remember GP, he was a defensive stopper, he was literally a defensive stopper. My second year, I am posting him up, you’re little, your 185, and that’s funny.

You got stories about him doing damage?

I always heard about him and Travis Best just going off as youngsters up there.

Secondhand. I was too young, but yeah he was a legend around these parts. All the old heads talked about him getting buckets at XB. High school and college and finally Celtics in Boston, so he was home grown and appreciated. Especially in Brockton and the Cape Verdean community.

I think great athletes are great athletes.

I think great athletes from 50s-60-s 70s, 80's 90's 00's to now could play in any era.

but

i think training, technology, population growth, improvements in living standards have made the median player to benchwarmers much better tho.
This is basically what I wanted to say a couple pages ago but couldn't spit it out. The normal rotation guys of this era are far more skilled. Defense only guys barely exist in the league now. Feel like there were a ton of those guys back then though. Thybulle is like one of the only guys I can think of that fits the bill now. MKG and Andre Roberson are both under 30 and out of the league.

Guys like PJ Tucker and Pat Bev stick around because they can play high level defense but also shoot 40% from 3. Marcus Smart can stick around because he's a good facilitator that can occasionally get hot from 3.

Schedule this week is pretty meh.

Big week for the Bucks though starting tonight in Denver. Then got the Suns and the Jazz on the road trip.

Hopefully KD is back to wash Steph on Saturday.

So KG saying that rings bells but the countless other HOF talents who say the opposite don't know basketball  .

Just like some guys of the past wouldn't be able to deal with the amount of movement in today's game, there are guys in this era who wouldn't be nearly as efficient when people are allowed to get excessive contact every play.

This works both ways

We still using "triggered"? The statement was silly and not based in fact and you were called on it nothing more, nothing less. Enjoy your day.

We’re still saying “we’re still ____”?

we can both do this.

You’re whack. Before you ask yea, we’re still saying whack when it applies, which you are. You’re one of those dudes that needs to get his thread starter money. Funny guy. But no one cares.
