oh damn so now you part of the front office you was there in 2016 and 2019 during his extension? he was drafted #1 to be our #1 scorer and we maxed him out to be our # 1 scorer ? damn news to me

believe me no sixers fan is satisfied with the 6 shots. 6 attempts for him means he wasnt aggressive in which us sixers fans hate seeing knowing he can be more which he has shown at times.. sure not on a consistent basis but the talent/aggressiveness is there

so please to me why you draft a guy #1 if it isn’t to be a franchise player? You drafting guys #1 and you’re oK with them not improving?

🤔

How about the pesky post-fire sale Magic though? .500 in their last 4 and gave the mighty Nuggets all they could handle in Denver last night.

Eye remember y’all laughing at me when I said Giannis was the same level playmaker as Ben. I should have been the one laughing
Technically speaking you’re right. Neither are primary distributors

however point Simmons ( ) is a better playmaker than point Yawnist. PF Yawnist is light years ahead

Simmons is a great athlete, but Giannis is so much more forceful with the athleticism that it helps him create more plays.

Meanwhile..

Eh they are 2 completely different players that bring different things to the table. MPJ is very good shooter and rebounder. Awful defender, doesn't pass, and dribbles like a robot. He's in the perfect situation getting to play off Joker and Murray. Can be a really good 3rd/4th option. Not sure what your team is if you are asking him to take on a bigger role as a creator off the dribble though.

Simmons can't/doesn't shoot, but does pretty much everything else better than MPJ. Like MPJ, he needs to be surrounded by the right guys. He's Draymond.

he’s not a better playmaker. Not in the same realm as Giannis. Giannis can play both sides of pick and roll. Giannis has roll man gravity. That wall it takes to stop Giannis creates corner 3s.

playmaking isn’t just passing. 30 and 6 >>>> 15 and 8

In the case of the Sixers and only the Sixers. He was drafted before Embiid took 1 step on the court. Simmons was also out Embiid’s *rookie year*. We were still looking for that franchise player and was taking swings at it

Also are y’all aware Simmons was supposed to play PF when he did come back his rookie year? He only moved to point because Bayless broke his wrist and Fultz had his issues with the jumper. Again this is all Brett’s fault

Yeah. The only guy on Giannis’ level as far as that goes is Zion. The do it differently, but both are basically unstoppable when they get anywhere within about a foot of the lane.

And since when have we’ve seen Simmons run a PnR with an actual PG? That’s literally what EYE have been saying for ages.

you gotta free yourself from this idea of positions. A Simmons/ curry big-small PNR should be unstoppable. But Ben isn’t like that.

ain’t no one setting up Zion. They just started having guards screen for him. That’s off the muscle. Even before Giannis slid to the 4 full time, he was constantly creating mismatches on the perimeter. A position change ain’t going to make Ben a dawg

Honestly, up until a few weeks ago I didn't think Jaxson Hayes was going to work out but then he started playing pretty solidly, and now he's given us these two highlights. I think in a few years he'll eventually be an all star. He'll probably get a little better yr after yr until that happens

That touch on that layup after running the ball. How smooth that three point shot looked. He's a really good free throw shooter for a big too. There's definitely something lurking in there.
