   @ Rapaport going full on Karen victim mode on the sports shows this morning regarding the KD stuff.

Best acting I've ever seen from him tbh

I'm not convinced Jaxson Hayes knows how to play basketball well.

Great athlete though. He could transition to long jumping if basketball doesn't work out.
He's a long term project. Ppl forget that his focus was on football until he hit a growth spurt his senior yr of hs. So he's literally two years removed from when he decided to become a basketball player.

So raw still 🤔

Imagine going from jv to one yr of varsity to one yr of college and then suddenly in the NBA, as someone who predominantly played football? Learning curve there

You must be referring to Knicks J Kidd. If so, sure.

In his fourth season he averaged 12 9 and 5 shooting about the same splits . Lonzo gets a decent floater drive in game he’s right there . You let him run point he’s dishing out 8 assists a game min . Can you explain why u don’t agree

you gotta free yourself from this idea of positions. A Simmons/ curry big-small PNR should be unstoppable. But Ben isn’t like that.

ain’t no one setting up Zion. They just started having guards screen for him. That’s off the muscle. Even before Giannis slid to the 4 full time, he was constantly creating mismatches on the perimeter. A position change ain’t going to make Ben a dawg
Funny thing about the Sous Chef/Ben PnR is that Curry takes for ******* ever to launch it. We actually do run it a lot but via DHO and screen.

We run the plays people expect us to run. We just haven’t had the success yet. Teams cheat off the bigs (Dwert and Scott) so the spacing is never there. However with Embiid in the middle it works because you ain’t cheating off him. That’s why I’m so adamant on Simmons being the roll man with an actual floor general guard. Let him cook on the short roll where we can demolish you if you cheat over and send help.

Because I watched Jason Kidd play from the time he started in the league and Lonzo isn’t close to the passer he was. Lonzo is decent in transition, but actually not a very effective half court point guard. Kidd could do both. He was also better at getting to the basket and finishing.

Kidd’s scoring numbers are low in his first few years because: (1) he was playing with 2 twenty point scorers when he started in Dallas and deferred to them; and (2) he didn’t shoot from the outside yet. The 3 still wasn’t nearly as prevalent in the early 90s as it is now. So comparing Kidds and Lonzo’s numbers is a bit of apples to oranges when you factor in pace of play and three point shooting volume.

Also, Lonzo is not more athletic than early NBA Jason Kidd. They’re on the same tier.

This dude Rapport on Skip and Shannon fake crying. KD was in his DM fresh off his come back game. Weirdos all-around. :smh:
Like I said last week...

This is two nerds/dweebs/lames/whatever you wanna call 'em talking **** back and forth and one got pushed a little further than he's comfortable with and wants to cry foul.

They're both lame. Rapaport really going all-out on this nonsense is another level.

Eventually someone gonna get him and he’ll end up how he did on prison break

Right after your first game back with a new team your first thought is "let me see what Michael Rapaport said about me".

What is wrong with son

I guess we need to strictly define what “light years” means. A literal light year is extremely long. I’d argue the bulls are the only organization who can make that claim. After them would be the Lakers for the sheer difficulty of going 3 in a row.

The light years quote still looks foolish.

“We’re light years ahead of probably every other team in structure, in planning, in how we’re going to go about things. We’re going to be a handful for the rest of the N.B.A. to deal with for a long time.”

3 years later KD left after being belittled at the parade and called a ***** on the court by a teammate, and they've been in shambles ever since. Injuries to Steph and Klay played a big role but they also haven't done a great job of filling out the rest of the roster. And it's early but it looks like they might've blown it with the Wiseman pick. All that "structure" and "planning" for "a long time" but the success was more a result of having a generational player in Steph and later another one in KD. Lacob got too cocky and tried to take too much of the credit which is why he walked it back a bit.

"And so you know I meant it in a bit of hyperbole. I didn’t mean it to put down other teams. So if you ask me the question do I believe it? Yes. But I say that not to put down other teams. I didn’t mean it to come out that way.”
