Just for reference Russ has 166 triple doubles now:
These are the records in those games (regular season):
OKC- 110-28 (.797 winning percentage)
HOU- 5-3 (.625 winning percentage)
WAS- 9-11 (.450 winning percentage)

Total- 124-42 (.747 winning percentage)

So literally 3/4ths of the games he's put up "monster numbers" the team wins, that's just an irrefutable fact. It's been a formula that wins games in the regular season (sans this trash Wizards team) and not so much in the playoffs.

I've been doing that goofy guy. I've said as much today. It's why Harden has got it from me as well. Giannis last year after his historic statistical season. The stupid article you posted is referencing how the numbers he's putting up now aren't translating to wins on the Wizards right now. Therefore the 'empty stats' that you and your cohorts are pointing out. That HASN'T been the case in the regular season before he got to the Wizards. I've acknowledged on multiple occasions his decision making and shortcomings in the playoffs.
The article doesn't even say that his numbers aren't translating to wins. It explicitly shows how the Wizards are worse with him on the court....with or without Beal.

I showed you how the Wizards with ONLY Beal had better seasons before Russ came to town. And yeah, sure, the Wizards sucked before him but they are worse with him in both overall record as well as offensive metrics.

If that isn't evident of him not making teams better - in 2019-2020, after leaving OKC the Thunder posted a better winning percentage with CP3 (0.611 to 0.598) and Houston with Westbrook was worse (0.646 to 0.611).

He's been quite literally making teams worse but you want to act oblivious to it

They didn't even finish a full season last year as far as OKC and Houston goes so who knows what the actual record would have ended up as IF they had played the full 82. And even IF you want to be disingenuous and extrapolate you're talking about he makes teams a game or 2 worse. Stop the presses!

Winning titles is everything..... Except when this guy is concerned.

Winning doesn't matter at all really to you so you SHOULD be a Russ fan. Just puts on a show that you either love or hate.

A lot of the NT experts tell me that winning titles isn't going to matter for certain guys (Melo, Dame, etc) cause they ain't pantheon greats, BUT for Russ who they all want to claim is overrated, has more flaws and negatives than positives it somehow is a detriment to him if he doesn't? Like something ain't adding up here.

It's absurd to me that he always points to the Lakers banners and mocks the Clippers yet he goes to these lengths to defend a titleless, losing basketball playing Russ.

I'll defend when there's clear nonsense being spouted that can easily be refuted. Or when there's a double standard clearly in play. I actually enjoy doing that.

So a game or two doesn't matter?

Your premise was flawed when you tried to use a 71 game sample size vs a 82 game one from the previous year. I said IF I were to entertain it let's see from last year OKC would have been at 50 wins and a 5 seed (w/CP0) vs a 49 win and 6 seed (w/Russ) and guess what still a 1st rd exit either way. Rockets 45 wins and a 2nd rd exit vs the Lakers like they were anyway. So what is the point you're trying to make? They played 11 less games last season so in such a miniscule amount it could have just as easily swung the other way. Kinda like how the Wizards record right now is just ever so slightly a higher winning percentage than they had last season.

That's a helluva coincidence with that much data.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. When Russell Westbrook has an arbitrary number in three stats, his team wins.

What about games where he has 9 assists? Or 8 rebounds?

Looking at the standings today, I’m going to say that as long as Zion stays healthy, the Pels are going to secure a play-in spot. They’ll pass either the Spurs or Dubs. Think all the teams behind them are done.

His record in non-triple double games is 427-328 (.565 winning percentage). Don't know if statmuse breaks it down that close.

Russ was drafted in 2008 and just now in the past year, it’s like “he doesn’t want to win titles”... he’s past his young-athletic prime and still gets numbers, but if you wanted to litigate this “he doesn’t want to win” nonsense you should’ve been saying this in 2015-2016 era, not when he’s past his actual prime. Now he’s just at the mercy of his situation.

So he has a decent winning percentage both when he gets his triple double & when he does not.

I've been sort of hoping Pels would tank lately

One is a middle of the pack winning percentage and one is elite team winning percentage there's quite a distinction.

But the losing basketball player moniker is nonsense either way.
