Had a weight on me before they read the verdict expecting him to get off.

Feel mostly just relief man. Just so many times where we've seen no accountability no matter what had been there with evidence. I'm just thankful that lady ended up recording everything, cause otherwise sadly, I don't know if this verdict comes down this way. Because how many times have situations gone down where there was no video and nothing but a dead black body and whatever the police decide to say happened that justifies them killing us.
IF this had gone the other way, this country would have burned so for that alone I'm thankful. But this is only the beginning there's no justice that's been achieved; just finally some damn accountability.

I felt the exact same way. It speaks volumes that we literally saw this man get murdered on camera with dozens of bystanders and we still have to wait with bated breath about the outcome of the trial.
Conservatives couldn't even hide their racism.

If I kneel on my 80-year-old mother-in-law's neck for 9 minutes, people aren't going to say "well she was old, had hide blood pressure and a bad hip". They would say, you kneeled on her neck and you killed her. George Floyd was alive and kicking before his interaction with the police and was dead afterwards and it was caught on video! It's as cut and dry as it gets!

While I'm also relieved at this verdict one make up call doesn't account for the million atrocities these thugs have committed over history and with a system in place that will continue to benefit them more times than not. We have a ways to go
