This is wild considering all the injuries.

So, the Knicks lead the league in opponent defensive stats for the following:
  • FG made
  • top 5 in opp FG attempted
  • #1 in opp FG%
  • #1 in opp 3pt FG%
  • #1 in opp PPG
But the Lakers get the #1 defense? How Sway?

The Nike Garnet 3s were pretty popular when they came out from what I remember. Everyone around my way seemed to have a pair.

But I think part of their success was that it was a well-designed shoe. KG's line was kinda struggle before that, and he wore Flightposite after this before leaving for Nike. So this shoe might be an outlier for him.

Plus this shoe was meant for Penny before Nike decided to blow up his line and ask him to join Jordan Brand.

I think living in MD has clouded my judgment about Tim's sneaker history. The Totals and Pearl Pros are all-time classics to me.

But I didn't rock with the Air Max Duncan 1s or 2s.

Def rating takes into account all of that as well as other metrics: Knicks weren't even 2nd although it's clear they were an elite defense this season.
