Still have this one. Those posters in the middle were everything and the very back pages where they had some blurbs on high schoolers

This was probably even a newer issue... Damb. Old

It’s levels to talent though. Lonzo can work with every dribbling guru in the history of ever and he’s still going to have that stiff upright handle which is going to cap what he can do off the dribble. His brother is far more flexible so you already see he has a higher ceiling.

you can be in the gym all you want but there are levels to where you can reach based on your talent. Can’t assume guys don’t work on their game because a lot of them do. Talent. Opportunity. Confidence.

define talent

I remember you said the same thing about Jalen brown tho 🤔

that’s fair. His issue wasn’t flexibility though. But he did break through.

eye have heard Harrison Barnes works and works but his lack of flexibility is why he has a 2 dribble maximum to his game

The difference between Jordan and Kobe is what? Can’t say work ethic or mentality

mike was just more talented

There’s def a difference I have no idea what it is though. I think it took Kobe a bit longer to trust his teammates too. Phil Jackson helped a lot.

Having the right people and coaches in your corner is a huge factor too. A lot of players get drafted to the wrong situations and never get out of that hole.

Mike was a better athlete and a better shooter. Can’t say bean didn’t work on his jumper more. Mike just had some stuff only he was born with. That’s talent

If Bean had Mike's mitts he probably really would have been the 🐐. Innate talent is definitely the most distinguishing factor, a lotta guys have the measurables. But BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE is right as well, VC may be one of the top 5 best athletes to ever play the sport but didn't have the work ethic/drive/confidence of a Kobe who literally maximized everything out of his body.

Phil Jackson said MJ also had bigger hands and was naturally stronger. MJ was just a little more graceful and catlike in his moves as well

Eh, VC just had a crazy vertical. He’s not one of the best athletes to play the sport IMO.

But fr didn't Jordan even acknowledge that the zone defense rules would've made it harder for him to do what he did? Or am I remembering that wrong? I can't hands down say he was more talented than Kobe, having watched Kobe's whole career and infinite Jordan highlights. Better career/accomplishments sure. But watching today's game shows me how hard it is to compare eras.

Vince definitely had all the tools you'd want out of a basketball player. I always felt the same about Shannon brown too but dude just never seemed like he even wanted to be that good

i think some of you are either understating or not acknowledging how much more athletic mike was than kob

I’m going to have to disagree man. Hops. First step, strength. Coordination. Agility.

Vince had everything to be a goat but that dawg.
When I think top athletes I’m thinking guys like Bron, Zion, RWB… I love VC but top 5 athlete to ever play the game? I don’t know about that man.
