Kobe was athletic AF. If Mike had him beat it wasn't by much

Wasn't trying say kob wasn't but IMO at least Mike was at least 3 notches better as an athlete (first step, vertical explosiveness, reaction time (something I feel like people don't ever mention))

Vertical and his first step were better don't know about 3 notches though. Reaction time as in what? Don't agree with that one at all. Bean may be tops as counters ever.

Mike was stronger and more explosive than Kobe man. Its close but when you're talking about the 99th percentile of talent its a little bit more obvious

Still have this one. Those posters in the middle were everything and the very back pages where they had some blurbs on high schoolers

This was probably even a newer issue... Damb. Old

Yeah I had a huge stack of Source magazines from like 2000-2003 that I got rid of like 5-6 years ago and wish I never did. Would have been a nice trip down memory lane.

I still have a Sprewell poster somewhere from a SLAM circa 2001ish.

It’s levels to talent though. Lonzo can work with every dribbling guru in the history of ever and he’s still going to have that stiff upright handle which is going to cap what he can do off the dribble. His brother is far more flexible so you already see he has a higher ceiling.

you can be in the gym all you want but there are levels to where you can reach based on your talent. Can’t assume guys don’t work on their game because a lot of them do. Talent. Opportunity. Confidence.
there is a ceiling as far as how much your talent can go. it goes side by side with correct practice as well. Lonzo was a victim of pampering and false belief that nothing was wrong with his shooting mechanics. everyone can see it except him and his father. it's not only because it's an ugly looking shot but when you shoot from the side from the chest down for a pull up 3 pointer which isn't really an efficient way of shooting.

that’s fair. His issue wasn’t flexibility though. But he did break through.

eye have heard Harrison Barnes works and works but his lack of flexibility is why he has a 2 dribble maximum to his game
still not impressed with Brown. he got talent no doubt but he needs balls. atleast Tatum is starting to act like the man.

The difference between Jordan and Kobe is what? Can’t say work ethic or mentality

mike was just more talented
difference is not much. Kobe was close to MJ. Kobe would have been the heir apparent to Mike's GOAT status and not some other self-proclaiming trying hard wannabe like GOAT.

not a diehard Kobe fan eventhough my cousins taunt me to be so. but Kobe had my respect as a player. Kobe had his shortcomings as a player but he made it work and improve his game and not blame others for his failure. now that is GOAT material.

man kobe wasn't even more athletic than or as athletic as dwade if we are being honest

Who yall got for the 10 most gifted athletes you've seen in the league?

MJ
Bron
Kobe
Vince
Nique
DRose
Russ
Admiral
AI
Shawn Kemp

off the top of my head of players I actually watched. Probably missing some obvious ones. Not really including people like Gerald Green and Nate Robinson who were super athletic but weren't on the same sll-star/HOF tier.

Agreed with the ones already listed. Idk if they’re top 10 but Lavine and Derrick Jones Jr got me in awe a few times with their athleticism

Gerald Green always someone who pops into mind but I might be only thinking of vert with him idk
