They didnt have a clear cut leader. Like I said, they just playing off talent. “We’ll just give the ball to KD”.
Answer my question directly please.

NOT having an Alpha is the main reason for them not executing/defending in tje final minutes?

A vocal veteran leader like a CP, Lebron, Kobe would never allow their team to even be in this situation internationally. Exhibition or not that’s an embarrassment.

I want to see what happens when they play an actual veteran international team thats suppose to medal and KD is having an off night.

It ain't yalls fault yall talk so crazy.

The mainstream NBA media has forcefed these dumb talking points for years so we just buy into them.

Yall got it man.

While ballinsam23 ballinsam23 might be a lil overboard some ya'll go overboard the other way and act like leadership is nothing. Like dudes just play w/o communication. As much as dudes in here talk about hooping ya'll never had somebody that was like "aye bruh step up, do this and do that" and dudes listened because he was respected.

Yea not a single soul has said anything close to that while opposing his points.

Not a soul.

lolwut? why?

if you tryna grow the sport you need a domestic league.
you're much better off with the NBA starting one. trust me.
Yea I agree especially when it was Masai Ujiri who really pushed for the league to start making inroads in the continent.

Think they're genuinely trying to delevop/grow the game there. Hopefully that'll still be the case in the future

A lot of these guys never played or coached an ounce of organized basketball after the middle school level. Maybe that’s why they dont understand the concept of leadership on the basketball court, I have no idea.

I respect their opinions, it’s a forum with mostly healthy discussion, hell I was wrong before. But i’ll never agree with a team especially one this talented does not need a vocal leader. Does not need someone thatll regroup and get them focused. Someone thats a veteran that’s been through it. Nah I can’t get behind that.

The convo was NEVER about whether or not a team benefits from having a vocal leader.

The debate was about how silly this Alpha title was.

It was about USA losing in the final moments of the game BECAUSE (main reason) there was no vocal leader. (Which yall don't even knowto be true)

But continue to change up the debate.

It’s fine. The team will wash the competition and win gold. And we’ll all be proudly singing our national anthem while
wearing our matching American flag underwear.

Right aepps20 aepps20

Yesterday was the first real game for a team that’s only been practicing together for like a week and a half.

Making judgments about the quality of the team and what they might be lacking is like asking what’s “wrong” with playoff quality NBA game because they lose their first pre-season game
