flashy passes or not, CP3 is uncanny about making passes right to the shooter’s pocket. You won’t see that in an ATO ratio, but it’s pretty damn important.

I was going to say...It’s SUPER rare for a player to go 30 for 30 in both halves.
Usually, a hot start leads to a cooler 2nd half. But dummy really went thurty for thurty!

Yah call me a Stockton skeptic.
I don't think he's as good a passer as Nash, Lebron, Bird, Magic and I have him firmly in a teir below.
And I don't see why I should be moved by longevity and gaudy raw assist totals.
The Utah Jazz's offensives were generally between mediocre and just solid untill Malone best seasons into the late 90s which tells me it wasn't John's passing that was stirring the drink.
And just watching him more closely after the last dance, going back and watching some his high assist games there just not a ton of truly elite eye popping passes. Probably due to his conservatism.
And imo the best make the passes almost no one would see. John Stockton imo doesn't do that enough to be in the convo for goat passer.

I rank him just a little bit below because Kidd never QB'd truly great offenses, generally ran pretty terrible to mediocre offenses.
it's just hard for me to call you the goat passer when your teams average offensive rating ranking is like between 17-25.
so i put him a shade below. def above stockton tho.
