Because she's a moron. I'm watching the first half of the ep now and she just got finished giving her story about tee ball when she was 4 and her swimming pool story. She has the personality of a stick. Both stories were pointless...As far as the bracelet...she doesn't get it. She never asked him what it meant to him and the significance behind it, yet he kept that stupid hat because he was appreciative and she gave it to him. I think him mentioning the price wasn't petty, but to get her to understand he took a leap and she didn't even care. She really is and inconsiderate Richard and needs to grow up.

Haley the last person that should talking about someone’s fashion sense. So what he wears dress shoes to the batting cage. If that’s what he’s comfortable in, let him be. She has no empathy.
