It's interesting to me that the experts and production are getting more heat for casting Chris this season then they got for casting Mia, someone who literally had outstanding warrants and couldn't board a plane to go on her honeymoon.

Its a cumulative effect.

I forget the excuse they gave for not catching Mia being a stalker. Also not sure how she passed any legit psychological test.

I totally agree with the criticism that some of the couples are legitimately compatible love matches and others are put together solely for drama and conflict. It's becoming more and more obvious which couples are put together for which reasons. Look at Henry and Christina from last season, Christina literally is homeless and lives in her car on top of being a habitual liar and manipulator. During the vetting process they couldn't figure that out with all the psychological evaluations they allegedly do?

I understand that first and foremost this is a TV production meant for entertainment. As great as Austin and Jessica were from the DC season, they were boring because they worked so well together from the jump. There was no conflict and no reason to show them on camera.

There's definitely a gender component to it. As crazy as Mia was, no one was afraid Tristan's safety the Wait would be if the rolls were reversed. Could you imagine if they matched a bride with a husband without standing warrants?

I agree with my brother atlsfinest on the background check stuff. What's troubling is that their internal controls for weeding out the crazies is clearly lacking. Back when Ryan was threatening to kill Jessica and the MAFS crew they had ample time to learn from that situation and to fix their controls to make the show entertaining for us and safe on a mental and physical side for the participants. Fast forward to David and Ashley. Ashley was a scumbag but David was one of the worst MAFS people we've seen as evidenced by his behavior on the second chances show. David had a violent past that the show "conveniently" failed to disclose to Ashley. Apparently David got arrested and had to take anger management classes but they didn't care. They had plenty of time of to fix things. Then we fast forward to Variant Mindy Kaling that had a warrant for her arrest for stalking and was pulled off of the plane and arrested. Tristan was a colorist scumbag but the full court press production put on him to stay married to Variant Mindy was despicable. Basically lying and saying they did their best. What we saw from closeted Lucas, B Ball Matthew, Lying Lie face Michael, Cross Fit and others was terrible. We even have unethical "experts" scoping contestants out for future dates such as Dr. Jessica and Jon. Ridiculous. This show tries to maintain some level of outward respectability but would be better of they went all in like MAFS Australia where anything goes. The contestants on MAFS Australia know that they are there for our entertainment first and their love life second. One thing I'll say about MAFS Australia is that they will pull you from the show if they think you're a scumbag and doing things extreme. Christopher should've been canned, Brandon should've been canned, Ryan Should've been canned, Molly should've been canned, Sheila should've been canned, Crossfit should've been canned, etc.

Chris took the site down within the last couple of weeks. I can see why he would be good at raising money (and smashing bad chicks). He has a good mouthpiece and he can talk a good game. I can understand how he would come across as a genuine and convincing to people who don't know him.

Truth of the matter is Jamie settled and realized she isn't THAT much of a catch to begin with.

What were her prospects had she divorced Doug? Try to get on the bachelor again? Or some other reality dating show? Find some regular dude? Try to find a rich dude when she wants the spotlight?

She really doesn't get to be judgemental towards Chris the way she got down. We'd be killing him even worse if he behaved the way she did.
