There's so many layers to this beef when it comes to Drake, but really his issue is that he's built his career on an image that was always going to be hard to keep up with. Couldn't admit you raw'd a pornstar and got her pregnant because it goes 100% against who you project yourself to be.

His image of that of a ladies man who makes misogynistic records and albums with the Migos and Future. He never hid it when it came to the music, he's openly talked about knocking off strippers, pornstars he's ashamed to mention, abortions, it's very rapper-like in a way. But his image, his perception was tactfully crafted in a way that he kept up a wholesome facade, making records like "Nice for What" or "Find Your Love" to, "balance it out."

Drake is a manwhore who goes raw into strippers and pornstars but he and his team have made it so that his 'manwhoreness' was the product of him "adjusting to fame" not him being a typical black rapper. And this is cool, so long as you can keep up that wholesome momma's boy, good guy image.

But if a rapper is good enough and knows enough info about your real image (pushaton), it could potentially end your run and that's what pusha is threatening to do.

Ehhh. As a casual Drake observer this seems pretty consistent with who he is

Yeah, but this can still be sold as a product of being adjusting to fame. Men tend to lose their minds with all this new level/ amount of P being thrown at you.

Too late in the game for that. No one sees drake as a new celebrity adjusting to fame.

He can't win this 'battle' IMO, it's over. He can come back with a really good diss record that rings off in clubs, he's that talented, but unless he has dirt on pushaton, it's a wrap.

I think he could flex his clout by dropping at halftime of the halftime of the game to show that he has enough pull to get people talking in the middle of the finals

If he wants to be petty, that will take attention off of kanye album dropping at midnight also.

I disagree. I feel like Pusha used ip his juice. If Drake hots back with something witty, he'll win

A couple of y’all have said this, who wants to put up money and say Scorpion won’t break streaming records? :nerd:

Naw no way. Pusha aint dumb enough to call it vol. 1 and do the interviews yesterday saying he held back material and has enough for the rest of the summer if he blew his wad already.

“Perception”

breaking streaming records ain't ****. If itwas, then Post Malone would be the goat right about now,

Still don’t get how this broke streaming records. Everyone has been telling me to listen to Post so I finally did. It’s okay at best.

He can take the L here and it still won't end his run. Nas released probably the greatest diss track ever and at the end of the day, Jay was still fine. As long as he releases good songs, Drake will still be the biggest act in music.

Where did I say he was going to end drake's run though?
