bout to be a reality check for Andre. if he fights that flat footed style. LIGHTS OUT

Shane Mosley will return to the ring at the start of 2010 with a fight against WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto.

The bout, which will be co-promoted by Golden Boy and DiBella Entertainment, will take place in Las Vegas on January 30.

An official announcement for the bout, which will be staged at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, will be made a press conference on Saturday.

Mosley has not stepped between the ropes since his ninth-round stoppage of Mexico's Antonio Margarito in January of this year.

The win for Sugar Shane was overshadowed by the controversy surrounding his opponent's gloves, with Margarito subsequently being banned for using an illegal hardening substance in his wraps.

Berto will provide a stern challenge for the 38-year-old having yet to taste defeat in his 26-fight career.

The American has defended the WBC strap three times, the last being a unanimous decision victory over Juan Urango.

Meanwhile, Golden Boy Promotions have announced that David Haye will join them in Las Vegas following the Mosley-Berto press conference.

The newly-crowned WBA heavyweight champion will be introduced to the American media at a "celebration luncheon" following his points win over Russian Nikolai Valuev.

We can only hope. Dont know how you go from that level of inactivity to stepping into the ring with Mosley

Both of them have been inactive. Its gonna be a 12 month lay-off for Shane when he steps into the ring next January. We'll see some ring rust from bothof them in the 1st round or so.

I think Shane's been somewhat active tho. Believe he was working out and sparring in Big Bear just in case he were to fight this year.

Berto on the otherhand, I still think he's on his b-day world tour

Son be spending more time @ the club than the boxing gym.

Nice, a unification fight.

Are Mosley and Cotto 1 and 2 in Ring at 147?

Ah, so Shane and PBF are ranked 1,2. So if Shane wins and fights PBF might be for two belts and the ring...Nice.

I think if you watched a few fights and skimmed through the MMA thread you could get the gist of it. Sounds like a decent opportunity, shouldn't passsomething like that up.

Did everyone say their prediction for the Cotto vs Pacquiao fight?

I think Cotto will win by 11th round technical knockout.

i also don't like that Alfonso Gomez, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Daniel Santos are on the undercard.

Yeah, while boxing is number 1 for me.... i have still watched all the UFC events the past 2 to 3 years... helps that we get fights for freehere in the PI. Aite, i'm push through and let you guys know how it is. Hopefully angry fans won't throw coins at me if i mess up in a decision

You know, at first I was thinking Cotto by a body shot in the 5th. Then I saw the recent pics on how he kinda looks drained. I normally like tomake my prediction after the weigh in so I can see if the fighters are drained or not.

Yeah the undercards

Typical.. undercards during Pac fights are alwaysweak.

Hope it works out man. I barely watch any UFC at all.

Arum hyped the hell out of the under card for this fight and we get nothing

This superhero outfit he has on in 24/7 is killing me.

im not worried about him looking drained , he's usually good for 10-12 pounds over the official weigh in, im more worried about him getting cut above theeye...........again lmao
