Yeah there wasnt much secret to their run game, Johnson would break one big one a game, then the rest of the game he would try to run east west and get shut down and be ineffective.

Then Blount would come in after defenders get burnt out from chasing Johnson sideline to side line, and run it right down their throat.

Itll be interesting to see what oregon can do with just blount
Well LaMichael James should be a threat next year. Kelly wanted to play him all year. And obviously if Brown joins the crew...It'll be deep and will continue to be effective.
I dont know how I forgot about James, dude is quick as hell

I wonder what will come of Alston

I like the attitude that Crenshaw and Alston bring on the field but neither of those guys appear to be game changers and neither is explosive enough to putOregon at the next level in '09, IMO. James looks and sounds like he's getting a lot of positive reviews but I don't think him and Blount will beenough ammo to take down USC next year, even if James ends up being as advertised and more.

If you look back at the USC win in '07(only loss SC has had to a top 10 team since Texas and before that who knows), for all the credit that Dixon got inthat game I thought it was clearly Stewart who was the deciding factor, our O-line was NOT playing up to its usual level(Ellis and co. had something to do withthat) and Stew busted a couple insane runs that only a player with his type of talent could.

I guess my overall point is that, looking at UO's schedule and the way is plays out(SC, Cal, OSU, Utah @ home) there is a possibility of going undefeated, but if I had to guess I'd say that given the players we know we have right now we'd lose at least 2 games, however if Brown comes to UO or if ChrisHarper's move to RB turns one of those players into a true game changer I feel like we'd be expected to win every game but SC, and I like our chancesat home given the circumstances that I previously stated.

Oregon's schedule is in their favor next year, that's for sure. It'll be the first start for USC's starting QB at Autzen. Itdidn't turn out too well for Sanchez. Stewart though, he was the difference. I think having Masoli, Blount, James, and possibly Brown...the running threatwill be there. It's the passing game that needs to continue to develop.

I can see us being undefeated if we play how we played the past 4 games. The schedule is there, the players are there, the coaching is there. That's whythe games are played right?

We'll see what happens.

I read somewhere that Boyd is leaning towards Oregon at the moment...we'll find out soon I'm sure though.

To me, the real question is: Who wins the Pac-10 next year? Bias aside, USC/Oregon are most equipped at this point (the game is in Eugene). I would put Cal very close to that point if they get solid QB play. What do you guys think?

USC will be the favorite by default, but the race just got a lot closer with Sanchez leaving. Pretty much you can peg SC's record next year to QB play. Thegame against Oregon in Autzen will be tough, but I think you guys are over inflating your outlook for next season. Some of you guys are talking about possibleperfect season? Come on now.

The Pac-10 could be very competitive next season. The top teams should be improved..but it's too early to say

Javorsky better thank Laron Mcclain. Cus a team might give him a look just off the strength of how well Mcclain has looked

Man...I looked at the roster for about 5 seconds...

I'm watching in hopes that McShay will say something outlandish. "Chase Daniel has ideal size to play QB in the NFL." or something likethat...

The scouts in all of the workouts before the game were saying that they love his skills, but they said that he's just too big...he weighed in at 297.Someone telling him that he was too big sounds really familiar. It's a shame his !+#!%$* didn't listen.

He'll probably go undrafted, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a team take a chance on him.
