But ole miss is gonna be RAW next year... they most definitely have a shot at winning the west.. The got playmakers all over the field

In Petrino's first year, they made great progress. Only games they were truly out of were the Alabama andTexas games. A lot of people overlooking em for next year but seem to forget they got Ryan Mallet coming in with practically everybody else coming back.

Played 25 freshmen last year, so a fairly young team that matured as the season went on.

Yes, going with the underdog in this one. Anytime a Houston Nutt team has been picked to do ANYTHING, they come up short,never living up to expectations. If his previous coaching stops have any indication on how he will do at Ole Miss, the dude is going to get run off just likehe did at Arkansas.

Those who watched Arkansas' first year know that that team is coming into this season feeling good about their prospectsof the season. Offensive production increased under Petrino. The dude made Casey D.ck a QB - In 2008, he completed 205 of 357 pass attempts for 2,586 yards and13 touchdowns. The best season he's has at Arkansas by far. Now we got Ryan Mallet taking over and anyone that watched him at Univ of Mich could see theraw talent.

Nathan !#$$ transferred to UCA, Petrino said he wanted to start Mallet last season, but he couldn't get that appeal fromthe NCAA when Rodriguez took over at Michigan

All those recruits you were talking about were FROM Arkansas, always wanted to play for the Razorbacks minus Chris Houston,who's dad played there. They all had connections to the university prior to being recruited. Houston Nutt didn't have to do ANY recruiting to get themthere. Why you think players like De'Angelo Williams(carolina panthers),Damian Williams, Kodi Burns, several other players spurned Houston Nutt while hewas there?

I'm glad you payed attention but let me remind you, we had DMAC, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis, Chris Houston, and JamalAnderson on a team and we couldn't get not a damn thing done. We went 10-3 when my high school coach was the Offensive Coordinator (got done wrong atArkansas,which is why he went to Tulsa)

If you got all that raw talent on the team, you just got to manage the game. Anybody else coaching that team would'vewon a national title. You know how pissed the fans were watching that talented team fall so short.?

After all that wasted talent, they werelooking for every reason to throw him out.

Nathan was a Houston Nutt boy, but Petrino didn't think he was big time and with Mallet coming, he knew he wasn'tgoing to see the field .. We got too much comp at QB for him, he had two frosh QBs on depth chart ahead of him.if I was him, I would've dipped too

we'll see what Mallet, can do. I dont trust QBs that face off vs man and 3rd coverages in conferences where the DC's are too scared to play to man, todo anything vs man press aggressive defenses that big time defensive schools play. (USC, UF, LSU, etc)
For your sake he better have gotten that Michigan Big Ten +!@* out his system while he was Scout teamin it thsi past yr.

He'll have a field day in Petrino's power spread offense, check it though, I went to a practice during a break at Univ of Arkansas and instead ofpunting the ball, they just had Mallet throwing the ball down the field for punts

Duke's arm is too live for Bobby Petrino. If $!*$ can go for 2600, I can't imagine what a coached QB like Mallet could do. We got a lot of playmakerson offense, I don't see a problem with them, only the defense/special teams.

USC picked up Devon Kennard, as expected. Looks like UF and USC will have the top two recruiting classes (top talent wise) again. After being the best twoteams over the past 4 years, these two need to hold up their end of the bargain next year and play in the title game.
