ATLANTA - Thursday night's Chick-fil-A Bowl marked the end of several Tennessee careers.
And that includes All-America safety Eric Berry.
Berry announced that he will forgo his senior season to enter April's NFL, hardly a surprise move by one of the Vols' most decorated players and a consensus top-five pick according to draft analysts.
"It's really hard," Berry said. "I think that's why it took me so long to get out here. I really don't want to leave, but I feel like it's just something I needed to do to help my family. Just to see how hard my parents have worked over the last 18 years (and) raising my brothers, I fell like this is something I can do to help them just sit down and relax and show my appreciation for what they've done for me."
Happy New Year my people!
