I hate living in Corvallis...so very, very much.Originally Posted by dr funk 13

Yes, Corvallis sucks and there are a thousand other places I'd rather live in the world than that place.
But, if Riley wants to live there, then go for it, I won't stop him. I really don't like the Beaver fanbase, but I do have a lot of respect for Mike Riley. I think he's a good guy and a class act.
There are recruiting benefits I'm sure to this kind of a deal. If the coach, the organization, and the players know that he isn't going anywhere, ever, then I think some high school kids might like that. They know he'll be there throughout their career and he'll have been established and what not.
Again, I know it's Oregon State, but I can at least some positives to the situation.

DLo-UGA commit Deon Rogers visited UC this weekend on an official because of Jancek. Any chance he doesn't stick with Georgia?
Jackson Jeffcoat on Powell Commit-- "Two guys who can get in the backfield and get sacks ... that's big-time right there," Jeffcoat noted. "It would be great to play alongside him. He's a great guy too."
Jackson Jeffcoat on final visits-- "I'm heading to Florida (January 15th ) and Oklahoma (January 22nd ) to check them out," he said.
Jackson Jeffcoat on UF-- "They were one of the first teams to really take a close look at me," Jeffcoat said of the Gators. "So I got their offer first. Not a lot of people ask me about my top teams, but they've been up there all along. I guess a lot of people just don't know that."
He's gonna go to Texas but hopefully UF can be the new USC where they are a factor for almost every big time recruit.
Sadly it is.Originally Posted by after h0urs
Ken Norton leaving is the final twist of the knife. Almost seems like Pete is trying to burn the program down to the ground. He and Garrett must have had HUGE differences.

He should go back to his alma mater.Originally Posted by Nowitness41Dirk
