Here are Cincy's recruiting rankings per Rivals:

2007- tied for 89th
2008- 67th
2009- 60th

I don't think it would be THAT much harder to outrecruit those numbers.

One of the ohio st boards said that Bradley Roby who had verballed to vandy will commit to tosu. I havent been really following him so idk but im pretty surehe just had an official this past wkend.
If he does commit Id imagine him playing corner.

He's walking into a program that is coming off of back to back BE titles. Kelly walked into a completely different situation with a bottom tier team.

2009 Class- Ranked 60th by Rivals; 53rd by Scout
2008 Class- 67th by Rivals; 51st by Scout
2007 Class- 89th by Rivals; 80th by Scout

It's not like Kelly was bringing in Top 25 classes

Butch Jones at Central Michigan-Class ranked 79th 2008, and 68th 2009. That's not much worse than Kelly did early on at UC and that's in the MAC.He's known as a better recruiter than BK and his staff that he hired is full of better recruiters than the last staff had.

Strong is going to have UL back in no time the way he's recruiting.

So I thought about Mike Riley and his lifetime contract at Oregon State.

Yes, Corvallis sucks and there are a thousand other places I'd rather live in the world than that place.
But, if Riley wants to live there, then go for it, I won't stop him. I really don't like the Beaver fanbase, but I do have a lot of respect for MikeRiley. I think he's a good guy and a class act.

There are recruiting benefits I'm sure to this kind of a deal. If the coach, the organization, and the players know that he isn't going anywhere, ever, then I think some high school kids might like that. They know he'll be there throughout their career and he'll have been established and what not.

Again, I know it's Oregon State, but I can at least some positives to the situation.

#%$% we're losing our best recruits left and right. i think that may be the first time since I've been at Vandy that i can actually say that otherschools are stealing our recruits, sans Bama stealing Kareem Jackson when Saban got there. that's what a 2-10 season would do to you.

I hate living in Corvallis...so very, very much.

Really?!

He pretty much already has a lifetime contract. Every year Oregon State qualifies for a bowl, another year gets added to his contract. This offer is not ascrazy as it sounds.

Michael Taylor visited UF this weekend...

That's huge. Possibly adding a few guys to the class too. Butch Jones is going to recruit better than Brian Kelly did. Matt James is the only guy that I don't think we'll get, he's probably going to end up at OSU or ND.

DLo-UGA commit Deon Rogers visited UC this weekend on an official because of Jancek. Any chance he doesn't stick with Georgia?

eh I would have to say no man, but you never know

Hopefully not tho haha

Jackson Jeffcoat on Powell Commit-- "Two guys who can get in the backfield and get sacks ... that's big-time right there," Jeffcoat noted. "It would be great to play alongside him. He's a great guy too."

Jackson Jeffcoat on final visits-- "I'm heading to Florida (January 15th ) and Oklahoma (January 22nd ) to check them out," he said.

Jackson Jeffcoat on UF-- "They were one of the first teams to really take a close look at me," Jeffcoat said of the Gators. "So I got their offer first. Not a lot of people ask me about my top teams, but they've been up there all along. I guess a lot of people just don't know that."

He's gonna go to Texas but hopefully UF can be the new USC where they are a factor for almost every big time recruit.

Ken Norton leaving is the final twist of the knife. Almost seems like Pete is trying to burn the program down to the ground. He and Garrett must have had HUGEdifferences.

Sadly it is.

Pete is going to be to USC what Brett Favre is to Green Bay.

Some people still love Brett, just like some people will still love Pete. However, there will be those that will not look highly on how Pete left town.

I hope so. We need to do whatever we can to get him. We have a great class this year, I'm just worried about our RB situation. I wonderwhat Greg Davis is gonna change with the offense since we've had 2 dual-threat QBs for the past 7 years.

Boise State DC Justin Wilcox has supposedly contacted A&M and expressed interest in their DC position... Would be a nice get for the Aggies...

Bax says he no longer considers himself an SC commit, but is still waiting to see who SC hires.
