The official WWE website advertised Vince McMahon would appear on tonight's edition of Raw from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was decided late into the evening to run the video package that has been featured on the WWE Corporate website to support the "Stand Up For WWE" campaign rather than shoot a live in-ring segment with McMahon due to time constraints.
Stone Cold Steve Austin contemplates one more match.
The UK Sun has a new article online featuring quotes from Steve Austin. Below are the highlights:
Watching wrestling today:
"I watch all wrestling whenever I can, I watch WWE and I watch TNA. I've just always had that passion for the sport."
His neck:
"I'm lucky, you know my neck is 100 per cent these days, I can do my own stunts and fight scenes where I can. I don't claim to be a tough guy, but I give it a go."
"My neck was fixed in 2000, I had to leave the ring because of the damage, but in my normal life and movies it's fine, although wrestling wise I'd be a total mess right now."
One more match:
"I never thought I'd say it, but when I'm asked about one more match these days I do tend to say 'never say never'."
"So don't rule it out."
I remember when Austin said Vince reached out to him for one more match at Wrestlemania 25 (that week he was inducted in their Hall of Fame). He was seriously considering it but said Vince told him on short notice (like a month or two before WM) and he would've needed more time to train and get back in wrestling shape. He's not bluffing like our buddy Rock...make it happen, Vince.
One major reason why Kurt Angle decided to stay with TNA.
One of the reasons why Kurt Angle re-signed with TNA Wrestling rather than negotiating a possible return to WWE is because he is shifting his focus away from wrestling to other ventures. Angle is in the process of developing a line of high-protein foods, which he hopes to bring to the market next year. He felt like re-signing with WWE would restrict what he could do with his business with more rules and a much heavier schedule.
How legitimate was the outrage from the crowd at the end of TNA Bound for Glory PPV?
I'm told TNA Wrestling put plants in the crowd at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view and had them throw garbage in the ring, hoping that other fans would follow. The creative team wanted to create a situation where public outrage was displayed.

WWE adds another drug to banned substance list.
WWE has added carisoprodol to their banned substance list. Carisoprodol is a centrally-acting skeletal muscle relaxant sold in the United States under the brand name SOMA. WWE has banned the drug entirely, meaning even workers with valid prescriptions for it will no longer been in compliance with the WWE Wellness Policy. Prior to this new amendment to the company Wellness Policy, a worker taking it with a valid prescription from a doctor was able to pass.
Carisoprodol was a drug (along with hydrocodone and diazepam) that was found in Eddie "Umaga" Fatu's system that played a factor in his untimely death last year. Wrestler Louie Spicolli died in 1998 after overdosing on SOMA.
This is likely the most significant change to the Wellness policy since its inception, as it will have the beiggest effect on a portion of the WWE roster. It's said to be a VERY popular drug with WWE talents.
Chris Jericho: "I will never wrestle anywhere other than WWE."
SunSport has an interview online with Chris Jericho. Below are the highlights:
"I have a certain understanding with Vince. Sometimes he gets mad at me, sometimes I get mad at him."
"But the bottom line is I love wrestling and I love the WWE. I will NEVER wrestle anywhere other than the WWE. That's a given and everyone knows it."
"I'm a creative person and, just like the boss, I'm going to do things that creatively stimulate me. Vince is surrounded by a lot of yes men and I think he is very refreshed by the fact that I'm not a yes man."
"So my status right now is that I've got a big Fozzy tour coming up for the next three weeks in the UK, that's what I'm looking forward to right now, and what happens after that is what happens after that."
"I could tell you everything that is going on in black and white, but that wouldn't be as fun. You'll have to wait and see how things play out."
"I got kicked in the head in WWE and now I'm coming to the UK to rock my socks off."

Why Kevin Nash is finished.
For those that missed it, Kevin Nash wrote on Twitter that he's finished with TNA and wrestling for good. I'm told Nash was looking for a small raise for renewing his TNA contract. While the exact amount is unknown, it's believed Nash wanted a pay increase of 5% to what he is currently making. Meanwhile, TNA was looking to cut his pay by 10-15% as they've been trying to lower salary expenses across the board with all the new contracts they have recently taken on.
Nash was insulted by the offer and didn't back down at all and said he would retire before taking a pay cut. TNA dropped their initial demand and offered to re-sign him at his current rate in a new contract thinking it would get him to agree. It didn't happen as Nash was not budging on the fact he wanted a small raise.
TNA officials were shocked when Nash rejected their counter offer as the majority of the roster are having their salaries slashed given the current revenue problems. As things currently stand, Kevin Nash is indeed finished with TNA. All of this comes a month after Nash had a meltdown over an incident backstage.
What caused Kevin Nash to blow up on Twitter.
Remember when Kevin Nash freaked out on Twitter last month? He was not working as his blowup was legitimate and stemmed from an incident at the September 8th TNA Impact taping where they taped the show that aired last night on Spike TV.
The match was Mr. Anderson vs. Samoa Joe with D'Angelo Dinero on commentary and Sting and Kevin Nash watching from ringside. The result saw Anderson pinning Joe clean after hitting the Mic Check but that wasn't supposed to be the outcome. Nash was supposed to run-in but Anderson and Joe went home early. Joe didn't kick out because he thought Nash was going to interfere but because they went home early, he was out of position.
Backstage, some of the TNA agents accused Nash of going into business for himself because his contract is coming up. Nash found out about the comments and blew up on Twitter. As of press time, Nash has not signed a new deal with TNA Wrestling.
More WWE wrestlers to leave in the future?
Several WWE stars have privately indicated in recent weeks that they are contemplating leaving the organization—and the wrestling business altogether—once their current contracts expire.
Edge, who's current deal with World Wrestling Entertainment expires in two years, has been telling people that he may retire from the wrestling industry once it concludes.
One company insider noted that four other WWE stars have stated in recent weeks that they've completely lost their passion for wrestling, to such a degree that they vow to leave the business altogether once their contracts expire. A fifth wrestler claims he will leave WWE once his current deal runs out, but will continue wrestling elsewhere.
Alberto del Rio came very close to quitting WWE.
Alberto Del Rio was actually very close to quitting not long ago. He was saying he wasn’t making enough money and wanted to return to Mexico. This is around the time WWE started bringing him on the road and planning the promos that aired on SmackDown.
TNA creative making Dixie Carter look bad?
There was some snickering amongst the TNA locker room over company president Dixie Carter being made to look silly during the September 16 episode of iMPACT!.
Eric Bischoff announced during the show that there would be a Three-way Match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Bound for Glory. However, Carter overruled him by announcing a No Surrender rematch between Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle to determine which Superstar would face Mr. Anderson at the pay-per-view. The singles match concluded with a no decision, thus setting up a Three-Way bout at Bound for Glory.

PWInsider.com is reporting that R-Truth was
not on Raw tonight because he is prohibited
from entering Canada due to a prior offense on
his criminal record. This is not the first time
Truth has not been allowed to travel to Canada,
so it was known before the taping that he
would not be in attendance. He is still a part of
Team Raw for the Bragging Rights PPV.
