'12 Bulls

If I can't have Pop then I don't want another coach but Thibs and since we all know Pop isn't going anywhere so... Yea. I think he'll learn from what happened as far as injuries and minutes go.

But the smart game plan would be to sacrifice the '13 season for Pooh, then make a serious run at Harden if he becomes available, I'm talking Max type offer. I'm not with over paying for undersized guards like OJ or Eric Gordon, who we don't even know what he's able to do either regarding his knee injury.

Damn I hope & pray my guy makes a full recovery to what he was.

You guys talking about throwing a year away is ludicrous. I cant fathom that idea.....

A year without him is worth a healthy him from then on... Do you agree or disagree?

I'm not talking sitting Lu & Noah... I'm talking about giving him time to actually have a full rehab, I'm not rushing him back to be Gilbert. Sorry I'm not with that.

i agree with shutting Rose down a complete season...the questions are would Thibs and GarPax would if we are still looking at the 2 3 or 4th seed entering the playoffs next season? I would rather have next season be a down year, but the mindsets at the Bulls FO won't throw next year out, with or without Rose.

If the plan is to get Rose back for Feb, or March you find a pg who can play you into the 4seed and make some additions like a Lamar Odom. Nash and Odom playing their best gives the Bulls a excellent title shot if Rose is close to 100% next year.

Me personally the past 2 years the missing piece has been Ben Gordon imo. We can sit here for days and complain about his defense, say he is over the hill etc but the bottom line is that that bench scorer who can create his own shot is the missing piece.
I'm of the thought that 10 minutes of Ben at PG wouldnt hurt as much as many fans think, and Ben has the tools to defend PG's too. If he commited to the defensive end he wouldnt be as bad a liability on 2's as Korver can be. Also if Korver were gone, along with Brewer the minutes would open up. If Rip were going to complain about minutes he would have already.
If Detroit were to give him the amnesty I wouldn't be against his signing on any level.
I wish Gordon never left but dude wanted more money even though it seems like he signed for close to what Chicago was offering if I remember right.

mhm, you guys remind me of what happen to the Spurs back in day when Robinson went down, and they received the first pick in Duncan the following season. But the Bulls would probably still be top 8 in a full season without Rose.

In 2003, I completely tore my ACL sometime in April...

I did two months of pre-hab... delayed my surgery to June 1st cuz of school...

By september I was walking without a limp....

I think I started playing somewhere in November ...

By January I was fine.  And I'm a below average athlete.

I don't follow ACL injuries like that but judging by my own experience ... Rose won't have to miss the year.

Yeah, he seems very comfortable in OKC to stay.  The team, not necessarily the city I'd guess.

Still worth a shot for the FO to make a run at him.

It's not that ludicrous especially if the team is intact enough to have a respectable regular season.  This is the franchise guy we're talking about...ability-wise, contract-wise, etc.

If it takes "sacrificing" next season, so be it.

Man you going to the beginning of the comeback enjoy yourself! It's not over until we lose that 4th game so until then let's go Bulls

Where has this Boozer been the rest of the year. This is why we are paying him 13M a year to play like this game in and game out.

Sad thing is this series is over if he played like this more often even though him and Asik have hands of stone esp Omer. Let's keep playing like this and we can comeback. One game at a time

Harden is only an inch taller than OJ or Eric cake.
I cant see the FO not making a move. I dont think this team with this coach can play its self out of the playoffs. Now if you told me all the 2010 guys would be gone sans Boozer and low budget replacements would be found then maybe, but I really dont see it. I see them making reasonable improvements and trying to get HC for at least one series, and bringing Rose back in March or April. The messed up part of that is they are going to ask him to go win a title at 90% again. Now if you want to think he is back in early to mid March
9 months including the pre rehab so be it. As a fan I want them to get more talent and add a Rose with the hope he can be the man in the ECF.
I really want Nash, Lamar Odom, and Ben Gordon or Nick Young to replace Brewer, Korver, and maybe Watson. Find a solid cheap backup pg for Lucas and move on.

Yeah, even though at the time Matthews was "overpaid" by Portland I thought he would've been a good fit.

Oh well.  We'll see what happens this summer.

It was just after 1 season fear of giving a guy 6 million per. I think half the league had that fear though.
