Because they use the local feed on NBATV, even for "national" games. It falls under the blackout rules if you live in an area that's considered part of the "home" market. Happens in Seattle if the Blazers have a home game broadcast on NBATV. Kind of annoying, but that's why Comcast in Seattle started carrying the Oregon CSN station.
