I been waiting a long time for this "police state". Maybe these riots will finally lead to one, and you have nobody but yourselves to blame. Actually it would be a very brilliant scheme by those in power if you think about it.


Cause controversy, get people all riled up, riots=justification for a police state.


All my history buffs can see this pattern from a mile away.

Naw police began as a tool to round up slaves . Look up the history of policing. In the 60s police were used to suppress civil rights leaders and organizations in inner cities. Fast forward to the 80s zero tolerance and broken windows policing targeted non-violent criminals. Post 9-11 we live in the era of the militarization of policing. One thing that has remained consistent throughout the years is that people of color have always been targeted by repressive police tactics although whites commit more crime than blacks and Latinos . If it weren't for the riots throughout history the world and the nation may have not known about the atrocities that have occurred throughout the years. I did a little quick researching of my own. Video surveillance shows that he pointed a gun at the cop. So, assuming this is true...why is anyone in here questioning why he got smoked? Why is anyone even upset about this?

If you were a cop, responding to an armed burglary call, and the suspect drew a firearm on you after you told him to lie on the ground, y'all wouldn't have smoked him immediately? I would think you would get fired if you didn't, for putting your partner's life, and civilians lives around you, in danger.

And if I were his partner, and he didn't smoke him...I'd IMMEDIATELY request to be transferred to another partner. In fact, I would refuse to go into the field until I received a new partner because I sure as hell wouldn't trust my life in his hands.

Edit:  I only researched for about 5 minutes before reaching my conclusion/opinion...so if there is something I'm missing, misunderstanding, or over looking...let me know.

I've never heard of a grand jury reviewing THAT much evidence and testimony for the decision to INDICT. All of that stuff is supposed to be determine innocence or guilt. They're not really privy to more evidence than I have. It was all released. It's all public information. Also, I've never heard of a prosecutor being part of a group that's gathering funds for the person he's supposed to be trying to prosecute. Also I've never heard of a prosecutor letting a jury listen to a witness who wasn't at the scene.

If all cases got treated like this, a lot less people would be in jail.
