Latest I heard (today) is he's still expected to show up after EC.

The thought seemed to be that WWE couldn't justify the money Shaq would cost when most of the buys will be from the Rock/Cena match, and they'll get some mainstream sports publicity with Tyson being there.

Heat On Miz Backstage In WWE Due To His Obnoxious Behavior
And his regressing ring and mic work...
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Miz has as much heat on him backstage in WWE right now as anyone, not only for his botched spot with R-Trush during RAW recently, but also because of his obnoxious behavior towards many of his co-workers. Some in WWE describe him as a "little frat boy" who "has to be the center of attention."
People in management also feel that his work has regressed in the ring and on the mic, with the feeling that he lost a lot of his motivation after WWE gave him a big push.

russo or no russo, its the same crap
As long as Bischoff and Hogan are there, things will remain the same.
Russo quit, he wasn't fired. Dixie was desperately trying to get Russo back the past few days, but he refused.
I actually take that back about Bischoff and Hogan. As long as Dixie is in charge, things will remain the same.
