Nah, the guy was white. I'm guessing it's a code in prison to desensitize the loss of an intimate partner. I'm sure hearing the word "girlfriend" over and over in prison would get old. Plus, it's likely that "girlfriend" probably has a different meaning behind bars.

i did 2 years, i wish i would of wrote a long passage like that when i got out...
at saying things changed so much seems like a whole new world
aint nothing change son...
Half the stuff he was saying is bogus... the cologne stuff
i can go in on so much on this, but it aint even worth the time

Great read, makes you really question those who say they're about "that life" and if you're this coherent after two years, anything more almost seems unimaginable.

Took me 2 days to actually read this because of school wokr and what not, but GREAT read. i'm happy you posted this. with my personal experience and coming close to going to prison and with my boy actually going to prison for 4 years minimum, this was a great read. the truth.
